80 mill in contracts with a 145 million cap number?!? How is 65 million in space not looking great? Next year we won't be spending big money in FA, it will all be about retaining our own talent. Plus if manning retires that frees up another 19.5.

I see only 6 must keeps on that list that will take a huge chunk but that's why we have the space

Only 6 of those, 7 if you include Miller are worth keeping, everyone else can be replaced to a degree.

And they'd have 50 million for 6 players, more than manageable with our cap guru.

Plus throw in say Manning does decide to come back for another year the Broncos can back load at least a couple of those deals to when that $20 million would come off the Cap. $50 million in Cap Space can be $100 million in actual cash if you so want it to be. Now obviously don't recommend doing that with a bunch of those players as that is how you handcuff your team but knowing you have $20 million coming off the books plus the Cap going up makes it a little easier to handle some bigger cap numbers down the road.

I would not be surprised if they re-sign/extend Knighton, probably 2 years at 4 per with bonuses. (Admittedly just randomly throwing out numbers).

Probably gone even before 2015, also one of Moore or Carter with Ward under contract will probably not be desired back in 2015. Most likely keep only one between Vickerson and Knighton (and people were pissed about the Williams draft pick) and Green is probably not going to cost much due to his limited use. Welker I am guessing is either gone or giving a hometown discount. So not that big a deal.

So what's he gonna do? I haven't heard any news on him so is he just going to retire? I think originally he threatened to retire just to get leverage , but when the broncos turned their backs on him it really hurt his market

Knighton 4-5ish, Julius 6-7.

Like i said, minus DT, none of them will cost insane money.

No question our offer would have been the most he could have hoped for. But obviously Ware was our top priority once that became an option.

My guess is he can still find a team out there but he might only get 1-2 years at 6-7 mil per.

Carl Bradford ILB???

He is an interesting talent playing DE ILB and OLB throughout college. Hes got great skills and athleticism and is a complete emotional leader and play making leader. The only problem is he gets overwhelmed by emotions and that led to an altercation on the sidelines. Hes talented enough where he is still going to be drafted quite early but he does not have the size to play DE and hes a bit undersized for OLB. Hes a great run stuffer and can drop back (when asked).

This would be a high risk high reward pick but considering how ILB is a caping hole if we cannot sign someone like Daryl Smith to fill it this would be our best bet. Hes a lot like Spikes at ILB very talented athletic and instinctual but can be a bit emotional and a bit obsessed in stopping the run.

Question is he worth the risk???

I really like what he brings to the table. He can get off blocks and he's athletic. Would definitely add him to our roster

Well his biggest problem was he initially over valued his own worth, reports said he wanted double digit figures initially thinking held get it. I dont think Ware was the primary focus but he showed more willingness to make a deal then Allen did.

If he gets a job it will be for far less now but many of the teams interested in him initially have moved on mostly because they decided he wasnt worth it

Not only that hes a sledge hammer in the middle. Honestly I kind of like that hes overly emotional but it could land him in some trouble. We could drop back into the 2nd or grab him in the 1st because he wont likely be there by our 2nd pick though but he gives us a fire weve been needing

Tuck and Allen in the front would be scary. Especially if they found a way to get Raji and Melton too
