  • Cecil Lammey's updated Mock Draft

Round 1- Dee Ford, DE/OLB, Auburn.

Round 2- Kyle Fuller, CB, VT.

Round 3- Jarvis Landry, WR, LSU.

Round 4- Adrian Hubbard, LB, Alabama.

Round 5- Isiah Crownwell, RB, Alabama State.

Round 6- Brett Smith, QB, WVU.

Round 7- Avery Williamson, LB, Kentucky.

That would be quite a haul.

Man I dislike Cecil but it's hard to ignore the 3 stud defenders that could all see significant time in Ford, Fuller and Williamson. Crownwell is a worry with injury concerns and 2 felony arrest and a failed drug test hurt his stock, also don't know about Landry. A wr who can play on the outside should be a higher focus then Landry who is a more underneath guy.

A healthy Kenneth Dixon is a top 5 NFL RB.

Switch Hubbard out for Jerick McKinon. Most of what I've read says that most scouts are not impressed with him at all.

Avery Williamson won't be there in the 7th round. Is Cecil Lammey okay?

Trevathan fell to the 6th and he put up bigger numbers then Williamson. He could fall for all we know.

Well he's a Alabama product. He's getting hyped because of his school he played for

He may very well be. It's incredible to me but that's how it shakes out sometimes. And I really hope so too.

Exactly my problem with guys from "Bama." Many are severely overhyped and overratted. Look at CJ Mosely.

Your preaching to the choir brother. I wouldn't touch a Alabama product until 2 rounds past their draft grade

What prospects did you like from Bama?

                    Was Julio overhyped?

                    This is sorta true though.

Julio is the only one that has lived up to his hype. All of them outside of Julio have been drafted 1-3 rounds WAY too early. I haven't really liked any prospects from Bama the last couple years outside of Kirkpatrick who I thought was a second round corner, and Jesse Williams who is extremely talented but his health has declined because Bama destroys their players in practice.

What do you think of Dix.

Kirkpatrick came on late in the year.

Andre Smith finally took some time to turn into a stud RT.

You have to admit there is an alarming tendency of Alabama players flopping in the NFL. At least recently.

IMO he looks like a less instinctive Ihenacho. He doesn't have the range or instincts to play single high and gets beat deep to much in a cover 2. He looks slow! Watch the A&M game and you see him just look lost in a cover 2 as Evans beats him and the corner down the sideline. How can a safety be affective if he takes bad angles and can't get to the sidelines in a cover 2.
