Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

What's gonna be fun for me would be the battle at MLB:
Barrow/ Irving/Nelson.. This should be fun and good for us!
I dont think Nelsons got a chance, he's to small better fit as a back up at the Will.
Irving and Barrow should be awesome. Steve Johnson the long shot doesn't have Irving or Barrows athleticism but he may be the best against the run.
I like Irving to win the job outright with Barrow getting on the field in passing downs and possibly stealing the job late in the year if Irving is just average. Barrow has the most upside and should be our starter by next year. He shouls bulk up by then to 245.
Overall this comp we have going into camp is gonna be awesome and for me I see it come down to Irving/ Barrow but again u just never know.
I think Barrow is going to surprise alot of people and I see him at least starting at nickle linebacker if not at MLB for all 3 downs. I think it comes down to him and Irving and Irving may have a slight edge on run stopping.

Fox and jdr like their vets, it'll be hard for barrow to win the starting job his rookie year
Not sure I would give Irving the better "run stopper" credit. Barrow looks to have a slight advantage over Irving in flowing to the ball. Going to be interesting to see how he does on the field not just on tape.
The Broncos should be very solid along the defensive frontline if everyone can stay healthy! They will create a lot of havoc and take on the majority of the o-line blocking. LBs should have a little less second tier blocking because of it. Irving should have the advantage at reading the plays but who can get to the ball carrier the quickest will be the the starter IMO.

I agree. I see us trying to look at a similar setup to what we had last season. Keep a bigger beast to stop runs and try and find a guy who can drop in coverage. Barrow being a pick this year likely makes the roster. So long as he can prove he can cover in the pre-season. In terms of run block I wonder who wins that battle likely between Johnson and Irving.
Irvings got issues getting off blockers in run support he doesnt get enough leverage to do it, he has the best hips and if he doesnt win the spot of starter then he will likely be our cover LB. Johnson might be the surprise starter because of Barrows lack of experience, but he if hes not hes shown some suseptability in crossing routes which makes me think he would be detrimental as a cover LB over Barrow so I would use him against the run. Barrow needs development and is actually better against the run then the pass but has a lot of potential in covering so I expect he will be placed where we need him based on who wins the starting role
Barrows straight line speed will most likely be utilized on ST
The Broncos have thirteen Backers competing for seven spots. Looks like the hottest competition in TC. :2cents:
Not necessarily the SLB and WDE will be a DE/OLB which currently number at 7, 3 of which are listed as DE's and 4 of which are listed as OLB's. In the past weve carried only 3 but I would hop they would carry 4 after last years injury to Miller. The other remaining 5 spots will have 9 competing
Our stud LB or DE/OLB spots have the most depth on D so hopefully it will yield some good results. Our most depth looks to be the offensive weapons which should be interesting to see how long that lasts with 7 RB's 11 WR's and 7 TE's for what is most likely 13 spots. These are the spots right now that seem to be a race for a roster spot (Miller Ware Ball D.Thomas Welker J.Thomas Latimer Green are locks, its doubtful we will cut Tamme and Sanders also Anderson and Caldwell seem to have the edge so it will be interesting to see who gets those other 5 roster spots)

Don't sleep on Jamar Chaney. He had a great season in Philly a few years back. Not gonna make splash plays but acceptable in the run game and a great coverage LB. Seems like his game has gone downhill since his injury and intense religious revival tho.
