Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Possible 1st Round Targets: Zach Cunningham my choice
Dream scenario #1 for me is Dalvin Cook falls to us. Dream scenario #2, we trade down a couple picks in first, draft Caleb Brantley DT, then trade up with our second and draft Jarrad Davis. In my opinion, all 3 of those prospects could be day one starters for our team (that of course pending on if we make a splash in FA.)
Also, how do you guys feel about Johnathan Hankins? I know some have brought up Brandon Williams, but he is surely going to demand a bunch of money...or at least a lot more than Hankins.
Your Dreams #2 is my #1. I hope and pray that happens. As for Hankins, I could deal. Like you said my goal is to get Williams, Wagner, and Zietler in FA. For offensive weapon I want Cordarelle Patterson as he would also slide into ST and return kicks.
What does everyone think of possibly looking at Jamaal Charles? He might come fairly cheap considering his injury history. We would also put him in rotation to keep him fresh.

I'm fine with Foster or Davis. To me, we need a stud ILB or DT badly. If not, take an offensive weapon.... WR or RB.... DT & ES aging and we have nada elsewhere.... since there's no stud OT here, don't reach. Now, if we think there's a stud OL, I could live with that evaluation.
We have to hit with our first 2 picks. We need immediate impact.
After watching the National Championship game last night, I want either Reuben Foster or Jarrad Davis. Foster was all over the field making play after play.
Another guy I would love is Carlos Watkins from Clemson. He is a big boy who plays big.
Garrett Bolles out of Utah would be an excellent pick for us. He only has one year of D1 tape and has only played on the oline for 3 years, but he has done some incredible things for still "learning" the position. He is a great athlete and has the potential to be one of the steals of the draft. He will certainly skyrocket up draft boards after the combine but I think he is a great target for us.
We need LB help but I think we will try to address that in FA.
That highlight video just screams of missed tackles in the NFL. The guy lives by his athleticism and wingspan. Nearly every tackle was high and all arms...even when he could have set up for a form tackle he went high and swung him around. Robinson, Foster, Cook or McCaffrey for me.
This. On so many levels. Every time I draft on fanspeak I can't not take him if he is there. If Elway handles FA as he usually does then G T and DT will be addressed. And a rookie can definitely make an impact at mlb. He has every tool you for. CUNNINGHAM FOR 1
I love the way this kid plays. I'll be all for it if he's our first round pick. Dalvin Cook (obviously with a revamped OL) is my first choice, but Cunningham isn't too far behind.
With Reuben Foster, Jarrad Davis, Zach Cunningham, and even Kendell Beckwith (hopefully a speedy recovery for him), I like the ILB group a lot this year. Hopefully we come away with one of them.
We need o-linemen and playmakers on offense imo. Take Robinson if he's there. If not take Curtis Samuel and get your lineman in round 2. I agree we need an ILB but I think Anthony Walker from NW is a steal in round 3.
How about bringing in Mark Schereth to teach these interior linemen how to man the trenches. The defensive lines in the AFC West are getting bigger and physical now that we need big and nasty linemen.
If I remember correctly, Schlereth said on the radio that, for Elway and Kubiak, he would be willing to put in the hours to be the OL coach. And I think that was early in 2015 soon after Kubiak was hired. Considering the influence that Alex Gibbs had on him, you can imagine how Schlereth would coach those guys.
For me, it's about Inside LBing, because we need to restore our run D, and a mid first rounder will be able to suit up and make an impact in year one. DTs take time.
Oline needs work, but there may not be an impact player available when we are picking.
Looking at last year's Oline (Harris-Mathis-Paradis-Vasquez-Schofield) to this year is that the interior linemen were physical and nasty. Garcia and Schofield have been pushed into the backfield too many times creating 2nd and longs, no push at the goal line and at 4th and 1. They need down and dirty linemen, road graders.

According to most of you, the draft is average as far as Oline. Elway hasn't drafted Oline well but that could also be the lack of coaching (Barone). With at least 10 picks, salary cap room, we should be able to stock up on OL, LBs, and DL. But start with a real OL coach.
Thats kind of my point, he didn't prove he deserved a pay day.
If someone is stupid enough to give him a good contract then so be it.
I agree with you, I'd let him walk, because I don't think he's been good enough here, certainly not to keep him on his current contract. But I also don't think Denver has a chance of getting him back if they walk away from his contract, too many teams need o-linemen and are desperate.
