I'm thinking we could use one of our 3d's on Chad Kelly, if he's there. mark it down. Chad Kelly will be good.

Jerod Evans is an intriguing name. I think he came out a year too early. He will likely be drafted higher than I think, but he's an intriguing option.

Regardless of our current situation, considering they'll need more than two QBs for camp, it's not far fetched to expect us to look at any available QB during the draft, though I expect that position will be less a priority as other positions. Either in the draft or FA well get another, maybe two, to start training camp.

    Then, let the battle begin!

He always wants 3 to 4 QB's going into camp because he believes in having competition as well as the ability to place a player on the PS. He wont necessarily waste a draft pick or a ton of money. Most of the time hes gotten one in the last 2 rounds or UDFA

To the OP: Yes, this next draft would be a good time to take a flyer on a late round developmental guy. TS and PL will be QB1 and QB2. They shouldn't need an Austin Davis to hang out in meetings with but we should have three QB's available. Grab a late round potential guy and throw him on the PS.

I like this KWHIT... in the long run, a draft success isn't evaluated by the ability for picks to immediately fill team needs...

A draft is successful when you consistently hit on players of high talent, character and success in the league. I am crossing my fingers that McCaffrey is a Bronco next year, some mock drafts are estimating he could fall to us. His athleticism and fundamnetals are off the charts. That's worth a #1... I hope Denver's Backfield looks like

    HB: Anderson, McCaffrey, Booker,

    FB: Janovich, Thompson

Maybe keep bibs if we feel we need the depth

You have to start somewhere on the OL, and no QB will play well without a quality OL

Will the new head coach like either of our existing QB's? Will the new DC go back to the 4-3? Who knows??? lol
We ran a few counter schemes against the Raiders with success. Both power and zone are highly dependent on the talent of the G you have.

#2) Our O/D Line is still a priority! Not talking about early rounds, talking a 1 late round pick 5th - 7th possibly a 4th if a good one drops to the 4th.

#3) Our QBs could use some competition, between the two we have neither has separated themselves so you never know if another good QB is available out there.

#4) The Patriots seem to pick a late round QB every couple of years, groom them and once their stock has grown, they put an early round(s) tender on them. If they get picked up, then that 6th/7th pick turns into a 1st round pick later. Siemian has probably built up his stock enough already to have a tender place on him. Trade him for a early round pick, get that o-lineman, draft another late round QB and focus on Paxton. Maybe pick up a minimum FA QB too.

#5) You're not going to get a franchise QB for cheap or on the FA market. We are likely to get one from the draft with some good scouting.

If you work it correctly, this can work out well and never be caught without a QB again.
When has number five ever happened? The only thing close to that I can think of is when they traded cassel and Vrabel for a second round pick. But, I can't seem to remember them ever putting a tender on a qb and getting a first for them.

All depends what Elway thinks of Lynch... If elway is doubting lynch then I would rather have more options then refuse to draft one early just because we drafted lynch last year.

With that said I am still very high on Lynch and will be very interested to see how he progresses this offseason.
The same Chad Kelly who rushed the field of a high school football game to verbally attack a ref? Nah.
