  • Will Denver draft a QB in the 2017 draft?

We have ten draft choices to use to move around in the draft. I think they will IF they see one they think is valuable enough.

That'd be a BAD move. They need a plethora of OL, DL, and LBs

This all depends on how they feel about Lynch.

What I don't understand is people always saying "we need this and we need that" when talking draft. Bad teams draft for need, good teams stick to their board and draft bpa throughout. IMO, we should fill our needs in FA, then take bpa throughout draft.

I am not totally convinced that either of our QB's has shown they are a franchise QB to lead us into the future. Unless we find another Peyton Manning in FA, I think we should keep a eye open for a QB that we had rated higher but has fallen to us.
I don't mean spending a top draft choice on one but grab a steal in the middle rounds.

Hasn't Elway been quoted as saying he will take a QB every year? It's the most important position in sports and it won't hurt to use one of the ten on one.

Yes, I believe he has. I can't see us going to camp with only two QB's but who knows what will happen in in FA.

Elway drafts a QB about every 2 years IIRC. I'd say it's unlikely, but not improbable.

I'd doubt it but if a guy like Watson slipped, i could see it.

I wouldnt be shocked if they took a late round guy. PJ Walker is who I'm hoping for.

I disagree with this. IMHO OL is the most important opinion, just ask every QB that's ever had a string of success, or lack thereof

Right now OL is very important, along with TE, ILB, and DL, but QB is always looka important position. Especially if we need one. I just think if a good one falls into your lap, better grab him!

Yes and no. Remember Matt Millen drafting the BPA, that didn't turn out well. If there's a large difference between prospects take BPA, if there is a group of players that are the same or close, draft the one that best fits your team needs. But never reach for a player just to fill a need, better to trade back and take the player at the appropriate spot than draft him way too early.

I would like to see the broncos draft a guy like Chad Kelly in the middle rounds or Brady Gustafson in the 6th or 7th.

All depends what Elway thinks of Lynch... If elway is doubting lynch then I would rather have more options then refuse to draft one early just because we drafted lynch last year.

With that said I am still very high on Lynch and will be very interested to see how he progresses this offseason.

The same Chad Kelly who rushed the field of a high school football game to verbally attack a ref? Nah.
