The Broncos are a playoff team with Cousins at QB. I just think this is a pointless discussion because Washington won't let Cousins walk away. I doubt they will give him the contract he wants, so they will tag him again.

I love Cousins, think he's a great NFL QB that can make any throw on the field... With that being said, his price tag is just too high, for this team. He is definitely worth 20m a season, but not to the Broncos. The Broncos are a team that can reach the playoffs with Above Average QB play, so I think the money should be spent elsewhere.

Compare Cousins first 16 games to Siemian and they are not too far apart. Plus, considering how bad our oline and run game is.

cause now is better then sieimian, but cousins has 5 years in the league sieman has had 1 cousins has had 40 starts siemans has had 14. theres alot to say about experence and hitting his upside. i would say his upside is close if not at what kirk cousins is. will he hit it. maybe. but as of right now cousins is a average to good starting QB. Sieman was still one of the worst, but he showed potential to be at least an average starting QB.

I think the more games Siemian played, the more it became apparent that he won't ever be much of a QB in the league.

And where is that above average QB play going to come from? Not siemian. Maybe Paxton Lynch, but he is still a project and may never make it. The salary cap is going up by about $15M this year...that alone would almost pay for Cousins.

I'm not the biggest Trevor supporter, but honestly I'd rather have Trevor and two or three 6-8m free agents than just Kirk Cousins.

Trevor basically has the same skillset of Cousins. Maybe a little less mobile and he obviously lacks some experience. But with better o line and running game he can have some success and probably show better than Cousins. To me they're very much the same type of player but a very different price tag.

Just because people want it doesn't mean it will happen. First, there has to be quality FA to get. Second, they have to actually sign here.

1. Free Agency is quite a ways away, who knows who will all get Tagged, Extended, or Cut. So any names I throw out could possibly be refuted.
2. Add DeSean Jackson and Jordan Reed... Cousins is no where near short handed when it comes to weapons.

I would put Siemian more in the class of between Osweiler and Tannehill. Cousins was a top 10 QB last year and top 3 this year...for yards....You really think Siemian could be a top 10 QB in this league?

Okay so going off of what you just mentioned. If we are not able to sign any quality FA besides Cousin who is going to protect Cousins. He will get hit more than he did in Washington and won't have a run game. So we will be basically in the same situation. The draft won't be able to completely fix our oline.

Jackson is NOT a very dangerous threat and Reed was hurt for most of the season....he only started 8 games this year. Yes, Cousins had some decent WR but no one like a Julio Jones, E Sanders, DT, AJ Green, etc...
