Guys..... none of this matters. Kirk Cousins isn't leaving Washington. Stop trying to compare. It won't happen. I think we will roll into 2017 with these 2 in competition, and maybe sign a street vet. We will only get Romo if he is cut or comes really cheap with restructured contract.

Why do you assume that he will not get better with more experience? I think the people bet on him being replaced don't understand that a QB needs protection and a run game to be successful. Paxton was painfully worse than Siemian in his two starts this year. It just seems like you're not being objective and you don't like the guy.
couldn't be farther from the truth. I went to the broncos TC and posted here that I thought Siemian should be the starter based on what I saw. Most people here blasted me for it.

During the course of the season, Siemian couldn't build on his early success and seemed to regress. He often couldn't hit open receivers and just couldn't move the chains. Sure he may get better, as I said in my original post, it has only been the 1 season. I just don't see that happening. He was just too inconsistent and really struggled with the short passing game. It's not like he was a superstar in college and he has this huge upside with some development.

Everyone folded when we need them the most. Our defense didn't do use any favors in that crucial KC game.

Maybe Siemian will do better in the future but if anyone here had to bet a lot of $....would they bet on Siemian becoming a very solid starter for a playoff contending team or would they bet he is replaced in a year or 2? I think most people here would bet on him being replaced. He far exceeded anyone's guess for him coming out of the draft but that doesn't mean he will continue to improve and become one of the better QBs in the league.

Out of curiosity to you guys...what exactly did Siemian show you that makes you think he can be so good in the future?
nope it will be a competition probably threw training camp. basically i think he is a stop gap cause we are worried that what happened to david carr could happen to paxton lynch if he transistions with this bad of an o-line so why risk a first round pick when you can test a 7th no one had expectations for any way. i think siemian ends up being a brian hoyer.

Yes Trevor made some bad throws but we don't know the whole story. DT's up and down season and Sanders not doing much as the end of the season. Plus, teams weren't playing the run. When you have no run game and a D only has to worry about the passing game. It makes it tougher to make plays when they know what you're doing.

    That is true.

I'm sure if Sieman was given more time in the pocket he would be making more plays.

And yes, I think Wentz had the same type of pressure. You think Dak Prescott wasn't in a similar pressure situation?...and don't come back with the line of....Siemian would look just as good behind Dallas' Oline. I don't buy that for a second.

Even then, he didn't hit his stride until halfway through 2015.

If Paxton isn't the QB to take the reins next year....Cousins would be a great addition.
