So I tried my hand at a fanspeak mock draft and here are the results:
20: R1P20 LB REUBEN FOSTER ALABAMA
The projections in this mock have Foster going to a few teams below us but being available to us. The two top OT's in this mock were already gone. So in my mind I went with us targeting a LT this off-season or banking on Okung to improve or take a more realistic contract and I decided to target RT's or OT's who could devleop instead.
51: R2P19 OT TAYLOR MOTON WESTERN MICHIGAN
This guy can run block and I thought a player like that would be huge for us.
82: R3P18 RB JALEN HURD TENNESSEE
This is the type of RB which I and a few others on these boards have stated we are missing. Tall, Big and has good speed.
97: R3P33 DL VINCENT TAYLOR OKLAHOMA ST
I thought we could pick-up a decent NT a bit later in this draft and he looked pretty good against the run and getting some pressure.
101: R3P37 G JORDAN MORGAN KUTZTOWN
A converted OT and a REALLY aggressive run blocker.
125: R4P20 C KYLE FULLER BAYLOR
He fell a fair ways in the mock I did and I thought he'd make for some depth at C and could compete against Day and maybe Garcia in TC to start if Paradis cannot.
145: R4P40 CB RASUL DOUGLAS WEST VIRGINIA
A good blend of size and speed to better cover the type of TE's, RB's and WR's we are now facing.
204: R6P19 OT LEVON MYERS NORTHERN ILLINOIS
Needs a bit of polish but in the later rounds the general rate of starters is VERY low anyways. I see this guy as a great backup/ devleopmental prospect.
241: R7P20 QB SETH RUSSELL BAYLOR
A flier for the 7th round and was still there likely due to his leg inury. With two young Qb's on the roster I see this guy as a PS prospect to develop
The mock I did only had the picks I have above and did not factor in comp picks.
