Jabrill Peppers really doesn't figure to be a need the Broncos have at first glance.
But if you add up all he can do on the football field I can not possibly imagine passing him up at 20.
Need a CB ? He's in the hip pocket.
Need a safety in the box ? He's made his living there.
Need a cover Safety ? He's fast, rangy and very instinctive.
Need a rush Linebacker ? His burst and speed can overwhelm.
Need a return man ? Kick the ball to him anytime and watch him go.
Need a Wide Receiver ? He has excellent hands.
Need a Running Back ? Guess what, he can be effective with moves and vision AND explosion.
IMHO, simply put, he will be an absolute beast in the NFL. Period>

I'm very intrigued by Peppers. He's kind of like a Swiss Army knife. I have him as our first pick in the Fanspeak Mock Draft Thread. Where he could prove to be most valuable is in his ability to cover TEs. We seem to lack in that area on our defense year in and year out.

He seems like one of those prospects that falls but a bad team quickly snatches him in the second round. Like Myles jack

That said, I think the whole "peppers is overrated" trend is pretty foolish. Him playing everywhere is not a detriment to his ability IMO. It's a testament

It's one thing to run a good forty time and it's another to be trusted by Jim Harbaugh to be a huge impact player. Peppers will be good

I'd love to see him in Denver

As a Michigan fan, I've seen enough of Jabrill as one can see. He is a jack of all trades. A pure athlete.

For us he did basically everything. He played Linebacker, safety, corner, running back, wide out, QB, kick/punt return.

And he did all of that at each of those positions very well.

Thing is much like a lot of jack of all trades, though he is good at everything, he isn't the best at either position.

He's versatile and could be really fun to watch in the NFL. Outside of his defensive abilities that would help Denver, he'd instantly make our kick/punt return game better.

Yea Harbaugh played him everywhere because Jabrill wanted to play. Dude has enough gas in the tank to play 3 full games a week.

Jim utilized a weapon to the fullest.

The fact that he can be available at #20 makes me wish we didn't extend Stewart. Peppers and Simmons could very well be a solid young starting duo 2018 going foward.

Peppers' versatility may make him BPA.

                First of all.......

                Go Blue!

Now that we got that out of the way, I'm also a big fan and I totally agree with you. It's not like he was just okay or even good at wherever he lined up, but he was clearly always still the best player on the field! I saw bits of him in HS and I'm a Rutgers FB season ticket holder, so I got to see him live in 2014 (where they lost) and 2016 (completely splattered RU). I feel about him the same way I felt about Zeke last year, he's the real deal.

Personally, I wouldn't be concerned with the fit. He's a "FOOTBALL PLAYER", as Stink said about TD. If u want him to hit, tackle, and make defensive plays, he'll get it done. If u want him to be a playmaker with the ball in his hands, he'll do it. Rooting for him wherever he goes. It would just be awesome if it's here!

I must admit that I haven't watched much of him, so I can't really give an informed opinion on him, so instead I'll simply ask a question: what position does he translate to in the NFL? Obviously he played a lot of positions at Michigan, but the NFL will want him to have a primary position, is that corner or safety? He doesn't appear to be big enough to be a full time linebacker in the NFL (although a hybrid in specialty packages might be something).

I like his versatility and wouldn't be opposed to the Broncos adding someone who can do lots of different things (returning kicks being a major one) but I'm just curious where he translates primarily in the NFL?

I think he would best be used as a Strong Safety. He could also slide into a ILB position (much like TJ ward has done). He should be given the chance to PR/KR.

They are hyping him up to run a 40 in the 4.30 range. If he puts up impressive combine numbers then he becomes a strong top 15 pick again. Not sure why but his stock has been dropping to late first round early second as of late.

Would Antrel Rolle be a fair comparison? Hopefully he can tackle better than TJ Ward.

I've seen him compared to Charles Woodson.

That's a pretty good player to be compared to. Then I would guess he'd project more to a corner/free safety.

Very similar in size to Woodson as well.
