1 interception in 3 seasons. Did not break up a pass last season. Why is he compared to Woodson? Must be that Michigan uniform. I'm not so sure about a "playmaker" that does not make plays.

I've watched some of his games and it's questionable if he will be a quality SS in the NFL. He can play in the box, but his overall coverage over the field is a question mark. If he is such a good athlete, maybe he should be a WR with some gadget plays at RB.

I also was not impressed with his kick returns. He returned 1 punt for a TD in 3 seasons (39 attempts). 18 kick returns, none of them went all the way. It did not look like it was that hard to bring him down from what I've seen.

I think it's a horrible idea to draft a player #20 overall to see if maybe he can be a full-time SS even though he is mostly just a tackler that did not make a lot of plays on the ball.

Why wasn't Peppers a full-time safety for Michigan is he's so athletic? His usage as a linebacker/blitzer was very confusing and won't help his evaluation at all.

Darian Stewart already is the real deal and T.J. Ward is what you hope Peppers can become: a box safety, situational nickel linebacker.

I think Michigan was a bit more concerned with what gave them the best chance to win. Not what allowed a single player to develop at a single position the best. Not all schools are as fortunate as Alabama to be able to do everything the natural way, because they're stacked across the board.

He is overrated, plain and simple. He never showed up in big games and his body of work is mediocre at best. Sure, he looked good against the Indianas and the Rutgers of the world. Every time he played Ohio St he peed down his leg. If he is available in round 3 I say jump, he isn't worth a top 50 pick imo.

I also don't understand the love for peppers. I really don't. Would be furious if we got him at 20. Now Adoree Jackson is a whole different story. He's similar to him in that they play multiple positions. Has that home run capability on every single play. We haven't had a weapon like Jackson in a VERY long time.

I find this comment to be interesting.

This is very interesting because there are two players on both offense and defense that could do almost anything that the Broncos would ask right now and the Broncos would greatly benefit from these two players one of them being Jibril peppers and the other being Christian McCaffrey.

So if you're John Elway and you're sitting there with the number 20 pick (assuming Tampa Bay doesn't pick up Christian McCaffrey) and you're seeing both Christian McCaffrey and Jabril peppers on the board which one do you choose?

Now keep in mind peppers is a safety/cornerback however the guy could play linebacker as well. IMO he has the potential to be a great cover linebacker and would immediately make up for the loss of Danny Trevathan

Now on the flipside if you take a Christian McCaffrey you just got yourself a pretty good running back, a pretty good slot receiver, and a pretty good punt returner.

At the moment what would be the bigger need for the Denver Broncos?

I'm going to venture to say Jibril peppers would be the bigger need at the moment and even though he's a cornerback/safety would it be wise to convert him to linebacker in order to cover guys like Rob Gronkowski, Clyde Wallford, The creep in Kansas City that von Miller likes to abuse?

I'm not sure how you cannot see the love for Jibril peppers. I'm not talking smack I'm just telling trouble understanding what you said there.

If I had my way I would somehow try to find my way back into the first round to get two players in particular one of them being Jibril peppers and another would be taco Charlton.

Both of these guys will contribute immediately and I'm even going to make a bold statement and say taco Charlton will complement Derek Wolfe so much that both Derek Wolfe and taco Charlton would make the Pro bowl even if taco Charlton is a rookie.

If there was anyway possible to draft both these guys (even in the first round) you put Jibril peppers at linebacker behind Charlton and Wolfe, he could blossom into a Ray Lewis type run stopper and a Cam Chancellor type cover linebacker.

There is a lot of potential with Jibril peppers he could be like another Von Miller on the field. One thing is for sure and he would definitely complement Von Miller as well.

We are speaking in hypothetical here and part of that is assuming that Elway and company have already addressed the ILB, O-Line and NT issues via FA. Now if that is the case then I will 100% disagree with your assessment. Again we are all entitled to our opinions but at the end of the day we'd be better off looking to re-sign Webster and have him compete with Roby for that #3 role as a CB and continue to develop Parks & Simmons who both did a good to great job for us last season. When you look at our overall compliment of Safeties & Cb's we are in a good spot.

                  Stewart, Ward, Parks, Simmons
Talib, Harris, Roby, Webster (assuming he gets re-signed), Nixon & Doss

So with all of those picks already on the roster and in some cases many have already begun being molded to fit what we need I do not see it as wise to take another high pick at the S/LB hybrid type player when in your scenario we could easily take a PR/KR/RB/WR type player such as Samuel or McCaffrey (ultimately I see both of these players as being nearly identical). They both fit the overall 'Offensive Weapon' label.

I am sticking with offense and saying that we'd also be better off looking towards a TE in the first. I for one though am more of a fan of Adam Shaheen (6ft6- 277lbs- projected 40 time just under 4.5) then some of the others. For example I will list the other "top" TE's and you will see what I mean:

                  1. OJ Howard- 6ft5 - 249lbs- proj 40- 4.6
                  2. David Njoku- 6ft4- 245lbs- projected 40- 4.7
                  3. Evan Engram- 6ft2- 227 lbs- projected 40- 4.6
                  4. Jake Butt- 6ft6 - 248 lbs- projected 40- 4.7
                  5. Jordan Leggett- 6ft5- 250lbs- projected 40 time- 4.7
                  6. Bucky Hodges- 6ft7- 245lbs- projected 40 time- 4.6

When you look at what these guys all have they are lighter, slower and all but one is shorter. Now I know arm length and hand size factor in as well but Adam, for me, is a much better fit for out new Qb's who could really use a monster of a TE as a security blanket. to give you an idea Rob Gronkowski was 6ft6 and 264 lbs with a 4 time of 4.68 at the combine. Now it would be silly to directly compare this guy to the likes of Gronk but this guys projected measurable s sure do match up.

                  I digress a little bit....

Ultimately I'd pass on Peppers as I think we have spent far to much on the defensive side of the ball with regards to the draft and the offensive-side of the ball desperately needs some help. My only exception to that comment is if Foster is there at 20 as I think he is likely a better player than ANYONE we currently have on our roster at that position. Again JMO.
