Ok, so no matter what happens with Talib, we need to take a CB somewhere in this draft IMO. So let's talk about some mid-late round guys that could be developmental gems.

I really like what Moreau did in the Shrine game. He played well all week in practice and carried it over to the game. He seems like a 4th rounder maybe sneak into the 3rd comp picks area.

What about Marqese White from FSU? Is he any good? I have heard his name a few time about being under rated and a late round steal. What's his deal, and why is he a late round guy?

Yeah, so did Darqueze Dennard, Jonathan Banks, Morris Claiborne, Antoine Cason, Aaron Ross, among others. It doesn't mean they're gonna be a good DB once they enter the NFL. Again, being athletic doesn't mean they're gonna be a good DB. It's cool he has speed but that doesn't mean he'll be a good DB. I remember when people were saying Justin Gilbert, Dee Milliner, and DJ Hayden had elite athletic abilities (with good college careers) and how did they turn out? All first round busts. The NFL is a different game than college ball and thriving on your athletic abilities won't get you far when playing an NFL QB and offense. If Jackson didn't have the speed he has and the ability to return kicks, no one would be mentioning him before the first three rounds.

And again, he's an excellent returner, by far and away the best in this years draft, but I'm not spending a first or second round pick on a returner. I used to like Jackson a lot, but after watching more and more tape on him, I started to like him less and less. If we draft him and he turns out to be a good CB (not just returner) then I'll happily eat crow. Until then I trust my eyes with what I'm watching - a guy who's getting by with his pure athleticism and that won't last long in the NFL. Working with CHJ, Talib, and Woods would do wonders and a great hypothetical question, but only time will tell if he's given the opportunity.

It is a crapshoot. Maybe the best CB is undrafted. I don't know. You don't know. I'll leave that to the FO. But all I know, they will select a CB.

Seems like a good year for Corners and I hope Denver drafts one of them.

Besides Fabian Moreau (who might be there for Denver's last 3rd comp #101), and Marquez White (who might be a fifth rounder, but Denver has no pick there) you might consider:

Damontae Kazee, San Diego State. Being a Mountain West fan, I got to see him quite a bit on TV since the Aztecs didn't play UNM this year. He can play Cover 1/0, is a good tackler and gets turnovers. He might be there for one of Denver's 4th round picks. He'll be at the Combine.

Jalen Myrick, Minnesota. Could be a Kick/Punt return prospect, too. I think he has a fifth round grade, but might slip to Denver's sixth at #204. He'll be at the Combine.

Seventh round prospects could be: Brendan Langley, Lamar (transfer from Georgia); Ezra Robinson, Tennessee State (transfer from Michigan State); and, Ashton Lampkin, Oklahoma State. They will all be at the Combine.

A couple other CBs worth considering if they are available in the third round would be Awuzie, Colorado or King out of Washington.

That's true. Just like our own CHJ. I actually hope one day to work for our Broncos in the scouting department. I've been going hard at it the past few years and within the next year or two I'm going to submit my work and see how it goes haha.

Kazee is one of my favorite mid round corners this year, I love the way he plays. Extremely underrated.
