  • 3 and Outs Solutions

Seems like we could use a big TE to help get rid of some of those 3 and outs we had last year. I big TE over a slot WR because those MLB can really lay the wood on a receiver, so I am thinking someone bigger may help. This is assuming an o-line upgrade and the QB situation is settled one way or another.

    Some options:

Also, a battering ram style RB help us in the red zone and on those short yardage situations. Here is one option.

James Conner (6'2" 235lbs) - This guy has an amazing story!! ESPN Video of his story. Really tough, punishing RB. Actually cracked the facemask of the Clemson linebacker Ben Boulware. See his highlights.

A running back that can break 4 YPC over the course of the season would go a long way in helping us stay on the field. I would say Dalvin Cook, but his home run hitting ability would also keep our defense on the field, albeit with a lead. :thumb:

Already being worked on. New coaching staff will likely call plays differently, front office will upgrade the o-line and either a new QB or the current one will be coached to throw the ball past the 1st down marker.

Its those simple things that will make the difference.

          Relax. It will be McCaffrey.

            Hahah

            I bet he'd convert some 3rd downs

I still think he might line up as a tailback more than receiver though

If Denver gets Christian McCaffrey, he'll probably be in motion a lot.

He could be a Wes Weller/Danny Woodhead. He is just a football player.

He'd also be a receiving threat from TB depth in the I Formation; favorable matchups.

Using the #20 pick on a running back to play slot receiver when we could draft a slot receiver to play slot receiver later on? I'll pass on that.

One way to fix 3 and outs is to stop throwing for 5 when we need 8.

Isn't that on the receiver too?
