This is actually a fair point. That said unless we believe that Trevor has the ability to overcome his issues from last season then I think we have found his ceiling. I'd say we got great value for him if we get a 3rd back for a couple of years developing him...I think if we do trade Trevor to another team that we likely pickup a late round or mid round developmental prospect and attempt to develop and stash him on the PS.

Of course the other thing which really concerns me with keeping Romo is the fact that he has not played a full season in YEARS. So even if Paxton comes back and lights it up you still need another guy as a backup and a developmental player is just that,

The topic of the conversation on the radio yesterday was "could Tony Romo take control of the locker room and gain everyone's support if Trevor Siemian is there"?

The speculation is Tony will not win the offense over if Trevor Siemian is still in the bronco uniform. So yes I think once Tony's signed Trevor is out the door and most likely to the Jets.

The defense has been bickering with the offense the past two seasons. Our top two receivers both complained at the start of the year before we lost a game. If Tony Romo can get Terrell Owensto cry for him on national television I don't think he'll have a problem winning the offense over. His problem will be staying healthy by hey law of averages right? He's got to make it the majority season at some point right?

USA Today's Tom Pelissero "would't be surprised" if the Jets called the Broncos about Trevor Siemian, should Tony Romo land in Denver.

Romo would make Siemian expendable, and likely available for a third- through fifth-round pick. There were rumors the 49ers and Bills might have Siemian interest, but San Francisco signed Brian Hoyer, and Buffalo restructured Tyrod Taylor's deal. The Jets whiffed on Hoyer and appear to have lost out on free agent Mike Glennon to Chicago. Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenberg round out the current quarterback depth chart in New York.

Jimmy G looked that much better. If simien didn't touch the field again after the first KC game we could probably fetch a 1st or 2nd.

Honestly I wouldn't trade much for any QB without 2 seasons of work to show for. Nobody learned their lesson from Brock going all in on un proven QBs.

I have never been a big Romo fan, but the guy can flat out throw the football better than almost anyone else in the league (when healthy). His leadership and professionalism is unquestioned and he could land very well with our veterans on D. Lynch is perfect to play under Romo and learn from him - and we draft another developmental QB when we trade Trevor. This makes sense and would make us a contender (assuming we help our OL and DL) as well.

I would love a move that got us Richardson from the Jets and his cap hit is reasonable this year, but it is only for one year. I think this would be a good swap straight up if they are truly desperate for a QB and they know they can't sign him next year. Doesn't really give us a long-term solution, but a good guy to bring in and see if we can get him on a decent contract going forward. Tony and Richardson would eat up most of our cap space though and make it tough to fill the OL holes without some other restructures.

I think the next couple of days could be interesting, I still think that Houston will overpay (as they did last year) and we will be with who we have at QB and hope we can fill the DL/OL holes.
