Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Saw this mentioned in another thread and felt it deserved its own topic. Also, it has been updated and Baker Mayfield is no longer selected by two different teams haha.
1st - Baker Mayfield QB
2nd - Connor Williams OT
3rd - Jerome Baker LB
4th - Mark Walton RB
4th - Deon Cain WR
It's early, and it's just a start, but I love it. Two day one starters, possibly 4, and HUGE upgrades over current personnel talent-wise with the first two picks.
Only thing that scares me about mayfield is that he went from 5th round to top 5 without anything really changing in how he plays and all in the time frame of a couple months.

That's generally what happens when you put together a Heisman quality season.

He was only not higher in the discussion because of his size and his “lack of arm stength” that he completely hushed this season.

I don't like the idea of the Broncos picking a RB, not after how they used D'Angelo Henderson and Jamal Charles. Vance seems like he will only use the two starter RBs until one gets hurt, so picking another RB would be a waste on this team. We may never know what he can do.
Gimme a OT, G, TE and a WR and I'll be happy. These are positions of need now. Anything else is gravy.
I would love to see a QB in there too but we'd have to be in the right spot, and be able to go back up to get an OT later in the 1st. Also, I am not sure if we can develop a rookie QB, we may be better with a vet QB.

My new favorite Bronco - KJ Hamler Guy plays inspiring football!.
Draft Nelson at 5 or 6. Then trade back up in the first for Conner Williams or Mike Mcglinchey. Move Bolles to RT, Williams or Mcglinchey at LT, Nelson at RG, Leary at LG and Paradis at C. McGovern backs up Paradis and Leary. Watson backs up Nelson. Draft tackle in 5th round. Oline done.

I would absolutely love this. Our o-line would be so set! Any qb would look better behind this line. Please let Elway make an attempt to make this happen!
It looks like Joseph will continue to be our head coach so no matter who else is on the roster, Siemian will be our starting QB, so why draft any QB in the first round. Saying that, if we can, I am for trading down and getting more high (first two rounds) draft choices to rebuild our offense with.

What are you talking about? There's next to no chance Siemian is our starter next year

How can anyone reasonably expect Trevor to be our starting qb next year?

He is saying that he plays who he likes the most over who is earning the job in practice. Which is a huge assumption. On top of the fact that a top draft pick would clearly be head and shoulders above Lynch or Oz. Who Siemian most likely does look far better than until the lights turn on.
He is more digging at Vance Joseph than saying anything positive about Siemian.
