Won't have much better options here. If anything, it's a downgrade. Bortles is better than any QB we fielded the last 2 years.

As much as I believe that ARob is an excellent receiver, I highly doubt he would accept a one year prove deal with a team that has a huge question mark at QB. It wouldn't do him any favors. He's not signing with Denver short term or long term, and I don't think we'll even show interest in signing him with no QB and a lot of money tied to DT and Sanders.

I'm still bitter that Latimer was drafted ahead of Robinson and Landry. The 2014 WR class was great, and we got stuck with absolute filth.

He may or may not have that same problem here, depending on how this offseason turns out.

I don't really get the obsession with Robinson, I've read through multiple threads of posters pushing for him. He's had 1 good year and is coming off an ACL injury, there's a reason the Jags didn't franchise tag him, he's not worth the price. Some team with more money than brains will give him a big contract though.

Elite?? really? I disagree with that. he is ok and I wouldn't mind having him but I honestly would rather see what Sunshine and Carlos can do especially if we improve the Oline and QB. We know what DT and Sanders can do with a QB that has time to throw.

Robinson has 1 great year, two injury plagued years and a so-so year.

    Nope.

Denver wont be in on him anyway so it doesnt matter.

If he is not better than what we have then why not look to the guy who we have now as say pay-cut or walk? Dropped passes, key moments not getting open - health issues. These are all items we can showcase in those discussions. At the end of the day though there is still the issue and the bigger question. Was DT & Sanders poor performance really their fault or was it the QB play we had in 2017....or was it both? Either way there is no guarantee that we fix either next year so IMO - we should try and trade one of those two guys at a minimum.

    started a topic Allen Robinson

    Allen Robinson

I am absolutely shocked that the Jags didn't Franchise Allen Robinson. He is an elite WR and should never have been allowed to hit the open Market. UNlike Landry (who I also love) he wont cost us a draft pick to get.

This signing makes a ton of sense. . Both DT and Sanders are likely gone next year.

DT is 17 million hit to cap vs 2 million dead money if we cut him after this season.
Sanders is 13 Million hit to cap vs 2.5 million in dead money if we cut him after this season.

Robinson would allow Sanders to move to the slot. It gives us that 3rd pass catcher we have been missing.

It allows us to have an in house option rather than relying solely on the draft if we let DT and or Sanders walk next year..

With the cap room we were looking at spending on cousins, we could easily get him and Keenum (if that whats elway wants) or a solder and draft a QB (if thats what elway wants).
Working...
