Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Prime Example of why Broncos well continue to be failures in the Draft.
Denver's entire Front Office and HC are at the CU pro day. While the Patriots, Vikings, Steelers, (insert successful NFL team here) Front Offices & HCs are ALL at the Alabama's Pro Day.
They could have split the duties with Matt Russell and Vance Joseph going to Alabama while Elway and Kubiak stayed in Colorado. Maybe they sent a scout, but it's disappointing that none of the top personnel guys were there. Even Brian Stark, the director of college scouting, also went to the Colorado pro day. Several Alabama players make sense for the Broncos, including Fitzpatrick, Payne, Rashaan Evans and Tony Brown. As you know, the draft is not the strong side of this front office. Expect Elway to take these 10 draft picks and turn them into trash as usual, including a 7th-round CB going in the 3rd.
I wouldn’t put too much stock into this. There is enough tape and information out there about every single Bama player. Just because you don’t go to their pro day doesn’t mean they are going to learn anything new or not interested in a player.

Unconfirmed, but Russell was spotted at an Alabama tavern.

As someone else said, Elway's never been fond of Bama prospects, not exactly sure why honestly.
But if Denver goes QB at 5 or moves up, they wouldnt need to look at Fitz, Payne or Evans

Unbelievable. These guys don't get it.
I googled Denver Broncos Front Office Alabama Pro Day and all I got was this thread. Do you have some other source for this?

Alabama hosted its annual Pro Day on Wednesday with 14 draft-eligible Crimson Tide athletes participating in drills in front of 80 scouts representing all 32 NFL teams.

If Elway moves up, then we probably lose a lot of draft capital. However, if we stay at #5, there is a chance Daron Payne will be there early in the 2nd round. He's more of a stout DT, only produced 3.0 sacks in his career, so he might not go in the 1st round. Remember how A'Shawn Robinson was also considered a 1st-round DT but went #46 overall.
Evans is a 2nd round LB. There are many things that can happen in the draft, including the option of trading down. I know Elway does not draft players from Alabama because of their medical history, but I think it's a silly decision. Each player's wear and tear should be evaluated individually. Alabama produces a bunch of good NFL players, including Pro Bowlers and All-Pros.
