Great move!! He's dealt with injury the last couple years but when healthy is 10x better than what we've been dealing with, I love it!!

I agree. Solid move. I’m tired of having a turnstile at RT.

It’s for a 6th rounder. Relax man. We have garbage at RT already. Can’t get any worse.

Now the big question, are we going with McGovern at RG or drafting Nelson?

Good when healthy, shattered his foot last year. Definitely worth bringing into TC for a look, better then anyone we would grab in the 6th round. I still expect to bring in an OT in the draft for competition.

                From PFF:

The Cardinals’ offensive line struggled all over the board and had seven different offensive linemen give up two or more sacks. As a result, the Arizona line did end up with surrendering 217 total pressures, the second-most in the NFL. The move to play career left tackle Jared Veldheer at right tackle did not pay off either for the Cardinals as Veldheer struggled early in the season at his new position, allowing 27 total pressures in the first five games. However, he did improve and put together a couple solid games on the right side before moving back to the left and finishing the season with a few good outings on his usual side of the line. It says a lot about Arizona’s struggles in the running game that their backs averaged -0.21 yards before contact on outside zone runs even though they ran that concept more than 40 times this season.

So we better not play him at RT, play Bolles at RT, Veldheer at LT, O'Leary at LG, Paradis at C, and draft Nelson to play RG. Would be a decent O-line then.

Also, the Broncos inherit Veldheer’s $10.2 million contract.

It's a desperation move. Watson cannot be on the field. So, it's a 6th-round pick for a 31-year old OT that has been injured and considered retirement. It's a $10.2 million cap hit, which is mind boggling. The Broncos will have to get rid of someone. Then, Veldheer becomes a free agent after the season. He's not that good anymore and the cap hit is substantial, but we were already hitting the panic button at RT.

If there is one thing where Pro Football Focus is completely useless, it's grading offensive and defensive lines. They have absolutely no idea what they are doing.

There is something about Elway drafting QBs and signing Free agent RTs.

Denver's cap hit for him is $6.5 million, the rest was prorated signing bonus (stays with the team that signed the contract). There's also $500k total in per game roster bonuses. So up to $7 million cap hit for a starting tackle.
