Ryan Pace said no such thing, that would be an incredibly ridiculous thing to say after only one year.

Bradford's injury history means nothing. They still have him essentially the same contract we just gave Keenum before trading up for Wentz.

Just about every time you trade away a future pick, that pick is valued at one round less. For example, the Broncos trading away their 2019 1st round pick would account for a value of a 2nd round pick.

Considering that Keenum should be able to get the Broncos into the playoffs at a Wild Card, the 1st round draft pick for 2019 will likely be no higher than 20th overall. That would then be valued in a trade right now as the 52nd pick overall which is 380 points. A 520 point gap remains.

The Broncos hold the 8th pick in the 2nd round which is 40th overall. That pick value is 500 points. That would then leave a 20 point gap.

The easiest way to pay up that 20 point difference would be with the last pick of the 5th round, the 160th pick overall and currently the Broncos final pick in this years draft. That pick is valued at 27.5 points.

So before kicking in anything extra, a Broncos/Giants trade could look like this...

      Broncos Get:

      2nd pick (2,600 points)

      Giants Get:

      5th pick (1,700 points)
      40th pick (500 points)
      160th pick (27.5 points)
      2019 1st round pick (appx 380 points)

      *2,607 valued points

To sweeten things, therefore kicking in extra, the Broncos could swap out their 5th round 160th pick (27.5 points) for one of their 3rd round picks; the 71st pick (235 points) or the comp 99th pick (104 points).
I really doubt that the sentiment around the league is that the Broncos are playoff contenders. The team itself would certainly not value their 2019 1st as a pick in the twenties.

We were 5-11, at best we should value our next year's pick around spot 10-15.

Given the Broncos have already tried to trade CJ this offseason, maybe he could be a piece of the trade, reducing the # of picks we would have to give up.

              Weird little bit of info:

Case Keenum will be the 19th highest paid QB this year.

Mike Glennon was the 19th highest paid last year

Bradford was 23rd the year prior.

              The similarities continue...

If you draft a guy in the top five he better start year 1 or its a waste of a pick!!!!

Not trubisky. Signing glennon. He called it reckless. Theres plenty on google search about it. When they moved up and took trubisky, everyone then said "what the heck were they thinking". I dont recall a single person that said they just signed their bridge qb, now they can draft one and im around quite a few bears fans. They may be out there bet ive never heard that.

So if a gm says that it was reckless, im not completely sold on using it as the model to go by. With how this offseason played out, one would hope the front office has an idea with their ootions

That is flat out not true in any way. What is most important is what the player turns out to be not that they started year 1.

When jimmy haslam sat with his parents he was sweet talked and went for it until he held a private workout for josh allens arm. Now darnolds parents have been having private meetings with other teams

Well, if we do draft a QB, I hope it is him. He has the 'it' factor that the other four seem to lack. I will take that any day, especially if the skill sets are comparatively equal.

I can get behind this if he is in fact there #1 guy on their board. If this happens I would expect a draft day trade of Paxton.
