I got my money on Ear2thestreets coming back next year with Tua being his target for tradeup. He definitely has his type of QB as Denverblood pointed out. With only 6 picks, I think we knocked this draft out of the park. Wouldn't have minded a CB, NT, or a burner WR. I was really high on Mecole Hardman...but didn't think he would go in the 2nd. I'm just glad some NFL teams had him rightly so ahead of Riley Ridley. If we can just get Harris locked up on maybe a 3 year extension putting him on a 4 year deal from here on out, I think we have the makings of a solid 7-9 --- 10-6 team. And that is with very good core of players to build on. I also think that we should be looking at LT next year if Bolles doesn't catch on...because I think he would make a superb G. With him and the possibility of Risner locking up the other Guard spot, we could save some money in moving on from Leary's last year and have Bolles replace him and go look for our future LT for Lock in next years draft.

Just saw that quote. I suppose that is the logical conclusion to his statement.

But if that is his opinion all you can do is disagree. I was not thrilled with the Lock pick either but I get the FO reasoning behind it. I also think that Flacco is going to have a better year then most expect. That is not because i am hoping that Lock fails, just think he is not ready yet. He may be the better athlete but IMO not the better NFL QB yet. I am optimistic that Flacco will provide the element most lacking from the Broncos offensive side of the ball for a few seasons now. Veteran leadership.

IMO the train would have to seriously jump the tracks for the Broncos to be in position to draft #1. Don't see it happening. Actually think they will be a borderline playoff team. Having Flacco/ Lock tandem for the next couple seasons will be a solid situation. My biggest concern is impatience and a QB controversy based on politics more then performance.

We shall see. Until then a contrary opinion is just that, an opinion.

You know I’ve also been assuming all the roster upgrades plus hopefully better coaching will translate to more wins. But all these premature 2020 mock drafts are coming out with a lot of people assuming we will still suck.

I would ignore most but McShay didn’t do his in personal opinion of how the season will go. He said he used PFf order based on roster changes, staff changes , strength of schedule and many other variables. And they have us being the 3rd worst team in the league!! I couldn’t believe it. I feel like that’s a bit absurd. I think most analysis assumes we will be swept by both San Diego and KC based on last year. But I think we could easily win all 3 home games in the division this year.

Just wondering if we’re all a little over optimistic about our team compared to most neutral analysis.

We may not be as far from Tua as people would think.

I saw that too, in his Way Too Early Mock. I really would be VERY surprised if we were the third worst team in NFL. Obviously anything can happen...but I think our roster is much better going into next year and we have a good balance of older coaches and newer coaches. And I like how our O has the younger coaches and D has the older coaches. But I have to admit....I would LOVE to have Grant Delpit.

I don't know about 3rd worst team in the league... I see us at 6-8 wins this year, but when you have one of the 5 worst starting QBs in the league, I suppose anything is possible.

IMO.....he's our future, along with a young group of quality players (incl. Lindsay, Sutton, Chubb, Fant, and more!), who may make us contenders for a number of years!!!
