Seriously? Honestly? What exactly tells you the team is improving? Certainly not its record over the past few years. The staff? A HC with a record that rivals Vance Joseph and a garbage OC. Please.
The defensive secondary is pretty much broken, the LB position lacks an LB that can cover, the D-line has one edge rusher that's been injured off and on since being acquired as #5, the other edge (LB) is on the downside of his career and coming off a season he didn't play because of injury, and the interior is mediocre. On the offense, you have a center that gets blown off the ball, a hole at RT, one RB who's ok but likely facing a few games suspension, a second RB that's broken half of the time and limited in skills, and young TE's/WR's where there's injuries and an inability to block. Oh, let's not forget the worst QB in the league, with no signs of a franchise/HOF QB in sight.
This team shows promise? Talk about drinking the orange kool-aid.
Despite all these injuries, our D was still pretty decent and we were #1 in Red Zone D. And this ties in with Fangio's D of KC. He didn't let them score quickly and let Kelsey catch underneath passes. Then when they got to the Red Zone, all that speed KC had was negated.
The truth is, Fangio has only enhanced his reputation around the NFL after this season with pretty much everyone...except with Bronco fans.

Our Defense has had some good moments this year, and it has some bad ones as well. Overall we stayed in most of the games this year.
A few critical mistakes in all 3 phases cost us a few games. If we can correct those mistakes we will be okay. Good things take time and when we decided to rebuild, we have to take our lumps for a couple years. We have a lot of good young talent, and we have a good experienced coaching staff . I think next year things will be better!

Disappointed to hear that they were willing to invest so much to try and lure a losing veteran quarterback who has proven he is not the guy to overcome the short comings of the roster around him. I know it didn't happen so it's a pointless conversation, but it indicates to me that the biggest mistake Elway made over the last few years which led to him having to step aside, mistakenly thinking we were just decent quarterback play away from competing, has been either passed on to or also believed by the new guy. We are not right there, and the idea that a guy like Stafford who couldn't do anything with a bad roster in Detroit, also 5-11 last year, could do anything with a bad roster here is delusional. Our issues are deeper than just the quarterback position, and I hope the bandaid veteran quarterback fix is not the priority this off-season, that guy isn't out there.

I think we have things set up for the future with lots of young talent acquired in the last few drafts.
( Now the team just needs to get it all together, and learn how to win NFL games as a team.)

I saw people on this board whinging the year we won the Super Bowl. Even after we won the Super Bowl there were people like "well if we did what I wanted it would have been easier"
To some Elway will never be good enough.
All I know is we have done better with Elway than most other franchises. We do not have the Patriots creds but there are a lot of teams who would gladly trade Elway's 10 years with their 10 years. Shoot a lot of those teams NEVER won a Super Bowl...they would probably take 4 losing seasons...1 Super Bowl...than 5 more losing seasons.Skill + Effort = Talent. Talent + Effort = Achievement. A. Our D was missing 8 projected starters and we were playing CBs 7-8-9 at the end of the year. We not only had a lot of injuries, we also had cluster injuries.

Overall performance has not been good, and considering the shifts in personnel, I'm not seeing a huge upswing for the team. It's not just about a stat here or there, anyway. To me, it's about overall team projection. W-L's mean everything.

I would not be upset if the Broncos traded for Wentz.
I can understand why Wentz is upset.
He’s not pissing and moaning because he wasn’t included in decisions that are none of his business.
He’s upset about something quarterbacks have always gotten upset about.
He was also playing at a MVP level prior to getting injured on a team that eventually won the Super Bowl.
I don’t think the Broncos will get him, but I wouldn’t be overly disappointed if they did. You're Wrong!
Recognize That You're Wrong!
