KJ cut is absolutely idiotic (Merged)

Why in the hell did we cut this guy so Sapp, Bell and Smith could play Fullback??


Sapp has never impressed me at FB and should stay a RB and there is no way in hell Bell will ever be a FB and KJ is way the hell better than Paul Smith

KJ is one of the most underappreciated players on the team and deserved to be treated better than this (getting cut for 3 unproven players)

The Broncos tried to get rid of Johnson last year when they promoted Sapp to FB. This is not really a suprise.

Paul SMith is one of the best ST's in the league and on our roster, KJ can't play ST's, Sapp basically can do anythin Johnson can do.

I never really saw him make any big blocks... I also disagree that he made big plays... he had a TD every now and then, but not much, and he was more of Plummers target than Cutler. Sure he is likeable... alot of players are... but I never considered him a leader.

this move doesnt make sense to me at all. kj isnt the greatest but at least he is productive and not prone to injury. he was the best blocking fullback we had. someone will pick him up and we'll be stuck with mike bell at fullback.

Yea because they had two talented TE's and we seem to now if Sheff is back up to snuff....

I still donno if I beleive this cuz I havent seen a link yet, but I do trust dream so I am kinda thinkin it happened. Maybe they think Smith and Sapp can fill more roles than KJ... ususally the versatile positions like LB and FB have to be versatile too for us.... FB usually doesn't play every down in our offense... and so you would think ST is important and if you can't play any ST you take up alot of space for only say 30-55% of the plays (which I think we had KJ in for... )


Just trying to figure out the thought process behind the move, no flaming please

Johnson is not going to be a player that will allow Denver to make or not make the Super Bowl. If he were, then we would have made the Super Bowl last year with his lead blocking and his catching TD. If I remember right he dropped a couple of TD passes last year. We sure didn't have a power rushing game last year as a result of his blocking.
