1 - STL: Johnson, Robert - FS - Utah
I closed my eyes and scrolled through the players and landed on Johnson. I expect the Rams' to have a similar strategy on draft day because after they grab a power back in round 1, they dont have many other needs.
2 - DET: Bowden, Brent - P - Virginia Tech
This is another strategy to help protect Matthew Stafford. My suggestion is to bring the punter on the field on 3rd down, every drive. That way Stafford has more time to rest. They already have a punter but it wouldnt hurt to bring in another to share the work load.
3 - TB: Gronkowski, Rob - TE - Arizona
I read somewhere recently that Gresham (their 1st round pick) was out all last season with an injury. They shouldn't take the risk of starting him next season. Instead, they should draft an injury-free TE to start until Gresham is fully healed.
4 - WAS: Cody, Terrence - DT - Alabama
Instead of changing to a 3-4, I am proposing they switch to a 5-4. Two DEs on the outside with two DTs and a NT in the middle. I dare any team to try and run through that.
5 - KC: Gresham, Jermaine - TE - Oklahoma
I realize that Gresham was just drafted by the Bucs in round 1, but KC is in desperate need of a TE. I was thinking that the 2 teams could work out some sort of custody agreement. TB will get him during the week and KC will take him on weekends and holidays.
6 - SEA: Graham, Brandon - OLB - Michigan
They need some youth at the OLB position. Leroy Hill is 27 years old!
7 - CLE: Brown, Charles - T - USC
His name says it all.
8 - OAK: Pettrey, Aaron - K - Ohio State
Janikowski just became a very rich kicker. Chances are he'll get a little cocky and slack off a bit. To ensure that doesn't happen Al Davis will bring in another kicker to compete with him. Davis always makes logical choices so I feel like I just read the future.
9 - BUF: Haden, Joe - CB - Florida
I flipped through the dictionary and landed on 'H'. Haden happened to be the first name that started with 'H' so it looks like he lands in Buffalo. The Bills are just building depth at this point so Haden's lack of speed wont matter to them.
10 - TB: Sapp, Ricky - DE - Clemson
Trade up. They have had success with Sapps in the past.
11 - DEN: Mays, Taylor - FS - USC
They have a number of strong hitters on their team, but they desperatley need someone with above average tackling skills to bridge the gap between average defense and amazing defense.
12 - MIA: Mallett, Ryan - QB - Arkansas
Sure he is going back to school and he didn't perform at the Senior Bowl, Combine or his school's Pro Day. But the draft hasn't happened yet. They need to do their best to convince him to enter the draft because they just re-signed Pennington... obviously not a long-term solution.
13 - NE: Canfield, Sean - QB - Oregon St.
They need a 3rd QB...
14 - NYG: Iupati, Mike - OG - Idaho
I can't believe no one is considering Iupati as a lead blocker. They could develop a new unstoppable formation: Put Eli behind center, Iupati behind Eli, Brandon Jacobs behind Iupati, Bradshaw behind Jacobs. This formation will be called, "Goldie Locks and the 3 Bears".
15 - NE: Hall, Max - QB - BYU
It don't hurt to have a 4th...
16 - CAR: Estes, John - C - Hawaii
With their 1st pick of the 2010 draft, they need to address their biggest weakness. No one on their team can long snap to save their life.
17 - SF: Tate, Golden - WR - Notre Dame
49ers searched for gold. Notre Dame's mascot is a leprechaun and they also search for gold. Tate's first name is Golden. Problem solved.
18 - KC: Brown, Chris - RB - Oklahoma
It's a shame he doesn't play defense cause we all know he hits hard.
19 - JAX: Basped, Kevin - DE - Nevada
The Jags trade for a 2nd round pick because, just like the 1st round, they desparately need to find players who will sell tickets. If you don't know who Basped is, you've been living under a rock.
20 - PIT: Rolle, Myron - SS - Florida State
It looks like they have Animal from the Muppets running around in their secondary. They need someone with brains to come in and control the defense in order to get it back to where it used to be. I'd take the road scholar.
21 - NE: Brown, Jarrett - QB - West Virginia
... What if one gets injured?
22 - CIN: Barkley, Matt - QB - USC
Freshman Shmeshman. I'm glad this site put him on the list of prospects because after last season, it's clear he is NFL-ready. Bring him on.
23 - PHI: Alexander, Danario - WR - Missouri
They replaced DeSean Jackson in the 1st round but they still desparately need a #2 receiver. Missouri usually puts out some good receivers so it's safe to look there to find their #2.
24 - GB: Graham, Garrett - FB - Wisconsin
The reason that they lack a successful running game is because they have no lead blocker. Plus, Graham won't have to travel far from college.
25 - BAL: Jerry, John - T - Mississippi
Jerry went to Ole Miss and so did Michael Oher from last year's draft. They will be life long friends.
26 - ARI: Wright, Major - FS - Florida
Wright was coached by Charlie Strong who is now the head coach of the Louisville CARDINALS. It just makes too much sense.
27 - DAL: Shipley, Jordan - WR - Texas
They don't really need a receiver but Shipley was the holder for the Longhorns and Shipley's talents will be put to good use as Dallas desparately needs a good holder.
28 - SD: Snead, Jevan - QB - Mississippi
Phillip Rivers has terrible mechanics. No wonder they didn't make it to the Super Bowl. They need to draft a replacement and turn Rivers into a TE or H-back.
29 - NYJ: Campbell, Bruce - OT - Maryland
Check out this Twilight Zone scenerio: Jets' coach Rex Ryan used to coach in Baltimore. Campbell went to the University of Maryland. If you drive slow enough, it takes 74 minutes to get from Baltimore to the University of Maryland. 74 was Campbell's number in college! It's crazy!
30 - MIN: Best, Jahvid - RB - California
They tried hard to get L.T. but they couldn't pull it off. It looks like they will need to find a franchise RB in the draft instead of FA.
31 - IND: McGaha, Chris - WR - Arizona State
The Colts might have won the Super Bowl if Peyton had someone reliable to throw to. Enter, McGaha.
32 - NO: Suh, Ndamukong - DT - Nebraska
Basically, they just take the best player available.
