Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Norv inherited some great talent and did crap with it.
What he did with that talent was at least get 3 playoff wins (and counting). Marty couldn't even get ONE playoff win with that talented team (even with a #1 seed).
Not to mention, Norv already developed one HOF QB and is working on
his second.
Who cares what Norv did in Washington. Has any coach had success there since Daniel Snyder took ownership of that team?
You were trying to smack talk Josh in his first year, so i looked up what Norv did in his first year, following along here? What great QB's did he develop in Washington or Oakland if he's just that great?

Yet Norv can't get a playoff win at home against the Jets after a bye week? That makes him better how??

If you had any knowledge of football other than your utter hatred of anything that has to do with the Chargers or your blind homerism for your Broncos, you would know that Norv has a reputation for two things.....
One is his inability to get a team to the Superbowl (both in WA and SD)
IT's OK, sandeGAYgo fanz, I was just like you are now. Starting in 1977 through 1997, for 20 years, that is ALL I had to hang my hat on too, was a BUNCH of AFC WEST titles, and a BUNCH of AFC Championship Titles, but no BLINGAGE to show for it, and had to listen to a BUNCH of CRAP from 3 time Champs Oakland Raider Fans about never winning the big one, or even coming CLOSE for that matter!!
SAD thing is though, you Sparkler chumps are supposed to FINALLY break through EVERY YEAR according to the so-called-experts, but all you end up doing is CHOKING yr. after yr. after yr.
WAIT! Thats actually the FUNNY THING!!!! My bad!!!

Blind homerism, please show all my posts that show my blind homerism, like where I said we have been an average team for the last 4 years(Anywhere from 7-9 to 9-7)?
What superior football knowledge do you need to say Norv sucks as a head coach?
So Norv has a reputation for not being able to get to a Superbowl. So you just smacked your own team for hiring a coach that can't do what it wants more than anything, a SB win?
So your saying in the post above, you will never win a SB with Norv, but you will have tons of developed QB's, just what every team wants.
Awesome, no need for smack, the Chargers bring it on themselves....

because he can actually win in the playoffs? marty choked in the first round to the jets too, he also had home field advantage and choked at home to the pats.
those were the only two times that marty ever took the chargers to the playoffs, both times he choked.
norv on the other hand is 3-3 in the playoffs and only choked one time, last year to the jets.
he actually won more games that his team was the underdog in, which conveniently gets ignored by you donk fans all of the time.
marty was the better head coach overall, don't get me wrong. but come playoff time there is no comparison.
norv > marty which still isn't saying a whole lot to be honest.
This thread is funny. Charger fans talking smack about Bronco fans by saying all we do is talk about the past, yet all I see Charger fans doing is predicting the future. I ask you this: What is sillier, pretending to know the future or remembering the past?

i agree but you don't ever see broncos fans acting like the chargers will never win a SB because of their past? isn't that the same thing as predicting the future?
i will say that acting like the broncos are a better team today because of their past is just as dumb as predicting the future.
same as pretending the chargers are a bad team today because they have no rings in their past and pretending it has some sort of barring on what will happen this year or in the future.

Marty had 2 playoff games to prove himself(in the playoffs) and was fired.
How many times does Norv get? I'm assuming this last run is definitly strike one?
Or will a couple playoff wins every few years secure his coaching position for a long period of time?
