I'm not afraid to wear an avatar, if you want to make the bet sure, let's do it. It's not like I am going to lose money or anything.

oh and since you were on the topic of aphonzo smith how did that tj houshmandzadah trade work out for you?
your franchise is so cheap they sent your best reciever to baltimore cause they didnt wanna fork over the cash to pay him lmao
now you have d branch and m williams lmao both bums who wont do anything on sunday
Wow, if you're going to attempt to talk smack, please have at least some idea of what you are talking about. TJ was signed as a FA, we did not trade for him. He was released, not traded away. Our franchise is cheap? Please, you're embarassing yourself. We still owe TJ about 7 million due to the fact that we have to make up the difference between his guaranteed salary (~8 mil), and what he signed with Baltimore for (vet minimum, ~855k). We are eating the 7 million because it improves our football team long-term. TJ is nearly 33, and will not be of use in the future. He was simply taking catches away from our young talent. You see, it is nice having the richest owner in the league.

TJ is also overrated. He benefited in Cincinnati due to playing across from Ochocinco. He is not a legitimate number one in this league and if he improves this year, it is due to him playing across from Anquan Boldin. He is good when he has someone that can command double teams and allows him to be open and more effective. I would agree that the Seahawks made a good move with getting rid of him. They want their young talent to get better as soon as possible so the franchise can be successful once again and there is no better way to do it by getting that talent in the game so they can learn and adapt to the speed of the NFL.

true people have the ability to go where they please here, but that does not negate the fact (actually it reiterates why we have the policies in place) that children visit these message boards and the webmaster, administration and franchise would much rather have people like you complaining that they CAN'T swear than having parents complaining about how their kid was able to come across filthy content on a family friendly website.

since the topic of the thread is the CoC and not being able to swear in smack...that's why we are talking about it.

i didin't say i would be opposed to colorful language in smack talk...i'm just saying it's not allowed here and stated why.

like chazoe said, i too have the mouth of a (i'll go with Jarhead since that runs in my family...since you brought up your "military" background lol). i suppose it's okay for you to argue using swear words because you have a "military" background.

i'm also not saying i don't swear like said Jarhead during football games or video games or smack talk... i'm just saying that on these forums... it's not allowed...and smack talk can be done successfully without it.

also, most of the time, yes... it does end up making one sound like an immature child trying to sound grown up. or like they can't think of any sort of more intelligent comeback than dropping the eff bomb followed by "you".

*shrugs* if you can't smack successfully without swearing then you really suck at smack talk.
Not that it really matters, but I just don't think we are going to see eye to eye on this one. I don't think that makes either of us right or wrong. We just have different opinions on the subject. Enjoy the game on Sunday.

Hate to burst your bubble here. Paul Allen is the richest owner in the NFL and cutting Housh had nothing to do with being cheap. At the time they cut him the Seahawks owed him seven million dollars. Housh then signed with the Ravens for the minimum salary that he could receive. That was something like $850,000. The Seahawks still have to pay Housh the rest of the seven million. In an uncapped year the Hawks saw an opportunity to get rid of a player that they did not feel was in their long term plans. He was brought in by a different coaching staff that had a different vision.

Well said man. I agree. Because of that mentality I was thinking that the Seahawks might stumble out of the gate and I honestly did not know what the on field product would look like. I was pleasantly surprised by what happened. Next test is a road game and much like the first game I don't know what to expect. I just hope that I am once again pleasantly surprised with their performance.
