I know you guys must be going through Hell over there. I think part of that has to do with how the place is run, frankly, but there are other factors as well.

Your expectations are higher than many here as well, and the Chiefs are not as good as the Jaguars, so that matters too.

But you're right. I'm sure all Hell is breaking loose on your boards right now. It's unfortunate, and I wish you guys the best.

The season's not over. It's one game.

Yeah unfortunately you guys are fairweather fans over their but its just the atmosphere in denver we are raised to be true blooded fans. It could be worse you could be a hard core fanbase like Philly who tends to always hate the stars no matter who they are.

Still I think if SD had a better history and not just recent history the fans would be a more reliable. Granted KC is still strong and so is Minnesotta but they are also in an area where they are just more hardcore about football. Still I think SD is going to do well enough this year that the fans will come back eventually. (LOL you get Jackson back in 6 unless you trade him)

However, I'll admit that I do feel sorry for the true fans, who really actually follow the team through good and bad and don't dip out after a loss and come back after a win.

There are some really loyal SD fans. Better to have a few loyal ones than a huge sea of bandwagoners!

I hear that I think most of the SD fans here are actual true fans. Despite the anger they give me I respect them. I have friends who are SD fans who admit their frustration towards those who dont start cheering till they are #1 in the division. Many Bronco fans still show up to bars and stadiums after the 2-10 streak where some SD fans dont show up when till they win 7. Still their are hardcore SD fans but sometimes I am not sure how much that outweighs the fairweather fans

Granted being a team out of the playoffs you expose your fairweather fans more and more and the Broncos fan base hasnt remained completely strong but its still one of the top in the league. If the roles were reversed I am not sure SD could say the same thing. I dont want to see the team move to LA because that would be a kick in gut to the real fans and its never right when that happens. So I cant say I will be routing for SD but I do hope the fans wake up a little more despite economic means or perhaps management will start dropping prices.

I doubt this has anything to do with "loyalty" more likely economics and regional demographics.

The Chargers have some decent fans.

Their boards, however, are a joke:

I suspect it will be the Los Angeles Chargers before long. No one wants to buy tickets to see a game at that joke of a stadium, and San Diego can't/won't build them another one.

Good, public money shouldn't go towards sports stadiums.

I meant the team, not the city.

If they can't fill the stadium they currently have, they can't make the money to build a new one. Blackouts start happening every week. Then the team moves.

if you think its bandwagon then you are pretty clueless to the situation to be honest. if it was because of the bandwagon they would be selling out playoff games, wouldn't they?

the chargers have a small fanbase to begin with then when you consider where they play and the crap stadium they play in, it explains a lot.

that said, it is kind of pathetic and i have said that here before. then again, i don't live in SD anymore and don't get a lot of chances to visit and go to games (every couple years or so) so who am i to judge?

you can pretty much look at every team that plays on the coast in warm weather climates and see they have similar problems, especially in southern California.

the chargers are the only team left in socal, even in the #2 market in America (L.A) NFL teams could not survive.

if the chargers can win a championship and build a stadium i think they will do a lot better but this not selling out thing is nothing new.
