i have said it all off season, no nolan = a top 18-22 defense in Denver. better than the defense was before nolan got there but not as good as it was with him.

Denver has talent on defense but a lot of it is older talent.

I meant defense, I don't have much hope in our defense anymore.

        Two, i'll accept your bet..

CP bet, sig bet, avatar bet?
The Broncos have a very talented RB Moreno, an All Decade CB Bailey, an All Pro FS Dawkins, and a very strong offensive line with Clady as anchor.

I am just angry with the new regime.
sigpic The most explosive QB-WR tandem in the past decade. Off with their heads! And while you're at it, fire Nolan! He only led 6 of 12 defenses to top 10 in points scored against.

Ohh and I think that Brandon Llyod will be a phenom this year. He is very underrated in my eyes. Everyone talks about Gaffeny and DT, but I am always impressed with Lloyd and his 1 handed grabs. Ohh and he is Orton's favortie target!

            baph..

If Nolan was the reason our defense had any success, why did our defense play like absolute crap the last 4 games, any idea..

I believe the team gave up on their head coach towards the end of the season.

Eiether way, the defense had 3/8 last games holding teams to under 100 yards rushing. The D, on average, created more than 2 turnovers per game over the last 8 games (the offense only created 13 turnovers, so DEN won the differential). I believe that a primary reason that the D struggled in the last 4 games is because they couldn't get off the field as the DEN run game was attrociuos having TEAM gains of 95, 80, 70, and 84 total ru yds.

Anyhow, it is not just the D's fault. The whole TEAM struggled, and like I said they gave up on coach; especially the last game when Marshall was benched and they had a chance at the WC spot. The offense only ran for 84 yds and had 3 turnovers while the defense got absolutely torched by the breakout of Charles.

Denver should win this game, but I don't think it will be because of the secondary. Over the course of this season, I think the loss of Dumervil (and therefore the pass rush) is going to expose the real age of your DBs.
That is the highest passer rating in the league. I didn't think Garrard was capable of numbers like that! I would bet that that is a career high for him.
