“We had multiple offers and the Chargers squashed them all,” Feinsod said.

This is the second time this month San Diego turned down deals for Jackson, according to Feinsod.

It’s been reported that the Vikings offered a second-round pick in 2011 and another conditional pick for Jackson.

Feinsod ripped San Diego general manager A.J. Smith for not making a deal.

“Archie Manning had it right,” Feinsod said in reference to Manning not wanting his son Eli to play for the Chargers after he was drafted by the team in 2004. “They call (Smith) the Lord of No Rings for a reason.”

Yes, folks, it has gotten personal.
What a thought provoking sentiment from someone so close to the Chargers organization...

Honestly, I feel badly for the fans of that franchise and the supporters of said GM.

    Too bad Marty's gone!

    Oh, and Chargers SUCK!

I feel Jackson, arguably a top 5 WR, is worth more than a 2nd round pick.

I dont see why Smith should settle for less.

          Homer post of the day.

You're going to have to make a pretty amazing argument to support your claim that he is 'arguably a top 5 wide receiver.'

30th in receptions last year, 10th in TDs, 9th in receiving yards, 15th in average yards per catch. 12th in receiving first downs. That's not Top 5 in any category.

Don't you think if someone was going to offer something gigantic it would have been out the gate?

15th in YPC? Are you sure?

How am I supposed to know that? I can't read the minds of NFL gm's, If I could I wouldn't be wondering what the heck KC's gm was thinking when he signed Cassel.

Either way with the above numbers being pretty mediocre he cannot be considered top 5.

Technically yes he is. But if you take out the scrubs with less than 10 receptions to get a real ranking, he is tied for 9th. Still not Top 5, guy.

All I am saying is if someone had the ammunition to make the undeserved 1st rounds, millions of dollars signing, trade for VJ than they would have pulled the trigger way earlier.

Well considering he put up virtually the same #'s as Reggie Wayne with only marginal differences and did so while catching a lot less passes in an offense that throws the ball nearly a 100 times less thats pretty good. I think it speaks marvels to SD's offensive efficiency, taking the minimum amount of plays to move down the field.

That's not even arguable! Not even top 10!

                          In no particular order:
                          Andre Johnson
                          Calvin Johnson
                          Randy Moss
                          Larry Fitz
                          Steve Smith (Carolina)
                          Miles Austin
                          Roddy White
                          Reggie Wayne
                          DeSean Jackson
                          OchoCinco
                          Hines Ward
                          Even T.O.

There are probably more, actually B Marsh is better the VJ so add that one too.

                          He's top 15

Not trying to be a jerk, but could you list them? Also what are the minimum #'s of receptions required to be listed?

I don't know NFL.com doesn't sort it out by the minimum requirement. If you want to go with no people under 30 receptions then he is 4th. That one category doesn't make him Top 5 overall though.
