Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.

Tebow won't be a bigger bust in the NFL than Ryan "don't talk to me!!!" Leaf. Kind of ironic that he injured his wrist while throwing an interception. So Charger fans how does it feel to have the biggest bust in the NFL? Or was that Jamarcuss-I-sack-myself-Russel?
Either way Tebow will be better than your hyped up first rounders. Kind of comes down to something known as "work ethic." :thumb:

yeah he wont be a bigger bust than leaf because not only was leaf a higher draft pick, but his potential as an NFL prototype QB was far far greater.
that said, there was more hype around tebow than leaf and it just goes to show how idiotic some fans are.
i know a lot of them are Florida/tebow fans and not Denver fans but many in Denver bought in as well.
he still could be a quality starter some day but its gonna take a couple years, he is a developmental QB and not worthy of a first round selection.
i said that from day one and now reality is starting to sink in.
I agree with about 75% of that post actually. I don't like the Tebow/Gator fans that are now "Denver Broncos fans". They tick me off! And I think that Leaf had high expectations that were brought low because of his very poor work ethic and his morale was brought way low because he realized that he was very bad in the NFL.
Anyway, I actually have some legitimate expertise with Tebow because as my post track record proves I supported him when this forum hated him. Gatorchomp and I were pretty much the sole Tebow defenders. But the hype about Tebow was really negative. "OH HE'S NOT GOING TO BE A 1st ROUNDER." And other stupid comments like that were spouted from "The experts."
However I think he earned his first round place in the draft. His entire mouth was filled with sores and he had a hard time with congestion and was really sick. That's pretty tough to deal with let alone running obstacle courses and throwing the football and all the tests that they make you do for the NFL draft.
I agree with you. Give him 3 years time and he could be a Michael Vick without the ethics issues. Or a Donovan Mcnabb/Jake Plummer!

oh i have an idea, just like i have an idea that rivers will have a better career than any of your current QB's when it is all said and done.
you can disagree with me, that's fine. i just am very confident that tebow will never be anything special at the QB position in the NFL.

I dont mean to harp on the past but thats what sucks about Jay Cutler leaving Denver. It would have been epic to watch him and Rivers battle it out in chase for the record books later in they're careers.
Again with showing no respect to the Raiders -- what is it with you guys? You're talking about QB busts and Jamarcus "I'll take some Drank with my 7 Double Whoppers" Russell isn't even mentioned? He's a bigger (figuratively and literally) bust than either Tebow or Leaf -- you guys can't handle the truth! Russell < Leaf < Tebow, deal with it!
I heard Russell was threatened by the mob to play poorly.
They were Raider fans and didn't want a black QB.
Not trying to be funny... But I really heard this. Just sharing with everyone, I think it's a dumb, but fitting theory!
