  • Marcus McNeill Signs

The Chargers have their left tackle back.

Marcus McNeill, the restricted free agent who had until now declined to sign his one-year tender offer, has now signed his tender.

I know Donkey fans were concerned about the Chargers not having our Pro Bowl tackle, we'll here some good news for ya.

Good for the Dolts, but they need VJ more imo, but that's just my opinion..

So are they going to put McNeill at LT, and move Dombo at RT..

I have to confess. This displeases me.

They should. Clary is the only real weak link on that OL. If Dombroski can make the transition to right tackle their OL will be in great shape

          Actually. NO. You're wrong.

          Floyd
          Naanee
          Davis
          Crayton

are solid enough with Rivers sling'in it to them. The Chargers were weaker without Marcus. Now the Oline is looking good.

It's solid enough, but with VJ it would make them even more better.. I am right, any logical SD fan would say they need VJ.. You haven't exactly faced a top tier defense yet to tell how the WR's are without VJ..

I would think it all depends on the play of Dombrowski during the next 3 games.

Now had SD signed VJ instead, I get the feeling that comment would have been something like, Good for the Dolts but they need McNeill more imo.

I'm not so sure about that. They would be better with VJ for sure, but protecting Rivers is vital.

                Chargers, after two weeks:
                #6 in rushing
                #4 in passing
                #3 in total offense
Rivers has 5 TD's passes to three different players. Gates (3), Naanee (1), Floyd (1).
SHOCKED by Donktown disdain toward TEBOW. He saved your 2011.

If the OL gives Rivers time to throw he will pick defenses apart. The McNeill signing was a bigger priority for AJ. That's why he was never once rumored to be on the trading block.

VJ screwed himself by not signing his 3.6 mil tender and it's going to hurt him a lot more in the long run then it will the Chargers

He's actually pretty overrated. He allowed a crap load of pressures last year & much more sacks than usual. People think he's an elite LT, but in reality he's not. Of course probably still an upgrade there.

Not including Rivers, the only player on the Chargers O. that is more critical than MM is A. Gates and that's only because our TE when he retires will be considered one if not the greatest at his position. Donkey fans should be able to attest to that, after all haven't you guys seen how he bullies and manhandles C. Bailey.

well considering how well dombroski has played at LT, you may not be wrong. however, that isn't saying much considering how potent the chargers offense is without Jackson.

I said this earlier, we'll agree to disagree, i don't think it's that potent without Jackson..

Kudos to McNeill for coming back..
