Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

until it suits your purpose to slam McDaniels, then he ran off the most talented QB in NFL history
Don't roll your eyes like that....they're going to get stuck in the back of your head.
McD has his share of blame for Cutler leaving....but, my point was that he didn't come in and make a decision "move" Cutler in an effort to upgrade the team. He screwed up, it went public....and the rest is history.
I started posting before Cutler got axed, and before they even started talking about the trade. If I was a Cutler stroker, don't you think I would have had a Cutler name at that point?
My first thread:
At least I got the "trade all the big names" part right, unfortunately I'm still waiting on the "number 1 defense" part
If only My HC picks would have come to fruition too:
you seem very defensive there lol
you made the new name just before he was traded you seen the writing on the wall
and then you made a new forum account to no longer have cutler's in your forum name lol
Uh, no.

I don't really care how great or how awful or how much of a crybaby my or anyone's QB is. I really don't care about comparing Offensive stats. Its all irrelevant. Denver and SD have both proven that with a high powered offense and a halfassed defense it doesn't matter.
It's nice to have quality personnel on the offensive side of the ball that can pass for umpteen yards or rush for 2983892834 yards a season or catch a million balls. It sells jerseys, gets people excited about the game, and creates superstars but if it doesn't result in a Championship who cares?
I would trade every single starter on offense we have for an average offense and a number 1 defense, any day of the week. Every last big name we've got on the offensive side of the ball, for a shutdown bunch of animals.
What do you think? Am I crazy?

I think the real prospects for Denver should be :
~Rex Ryan DC/Assistant HC for the Ravens
~Jim Shwartz DC for the Titans
Both of these guys want a Head Coaching position and both of them have kept their teams among the elite defenses in football for nearly a decade.
For the record, I always thought Cutler was a jerk and didn't approve of the whole "gunslinger" crap. Just struck me as being "stupid with the football"

all i know is i've been saying how cutler was more like jeff george, for YEARS now, and when you guys got orton , how orton at least was a winner (this year? no but his stats are pretty good STILL, the talent surrounding him certainly isn't up to snuff, ie zero run game to help him out)
the hatred for orton that i've seen on this site is seriously misplaced, and it's happening because the broncos have a crap running game, bad defense, and it's coming from people who never got over the fact that cutler was the 40 billion dollar airport with the 2 cent control tower.....
Really that so? Got the links to back it up? I think your user name says it all. I think your an NFL fan who is a band wagoner and when the Chargers start losing you can jump ship faster than LT did.

Here is one (of many) that I posted, and I know a lot of other Charger fans did the same. If you want more, I'm sure I can find them.

After the first overall pick in the 1990 draft, Jeff George played for 7 NFL teams during his career....including the Raiders twice.
Take a look at Jeff's early career:
The Colts traded to draft George, making him the first pick in the 1990 draft, and then rewarded him with the richest rookie contract in NFL history. What should have been a dream career with his hometown Colts, turned ugly almost from the start. By the time it ended after four seasons with a trade to the Atlanta Falcons, he had made vile gestures to the hometown fans, argued with coach Ted Marchibroda, held out for 36 days, and tried to get a trade.
What are the odds that Cutler follows in this path? George had his epic meltdown after 4 seasons. Cutler is having his tantrum after only 3 seasons.
