Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

He reminds me of Knowshon this year, only for the reason that both keep getting banged up, and cannot really showcase their talents. I've seen enough of Matthews to know he is good if he isn't hobbled.
too early to tell, especially since he has been banged up. i am curious to see what you think, is he a bust?
Very true about the injuries.
No, he's not a bust, players should get 3 years, sometimes more before they can be determined a bust or not. Or you can tell right off the bat if they are a bust.
Too early to tell as Baph said and he has been banged up. Chargers need a better O-line imo which is why LT was able to go the Jets and succeed. Better offensive line. But he's shown talent anyway, my sig bet is looking like a win!

"Maybe if he had an iron suit or a magic hammer...."
When some Bolts have been saying Moreno is a bust and what not, which btw is a ridiculous and unfair argument at this point in time, most of us have been saying it's too early to tell.
Same for Mathews, difference being it's FAR too early to tell yet whether he's gonna be a bust or not. Bias aside, he's got a lot of upside and potential in him still that I like so lets see how that works out down the road.

The difference is that Moreon was healthy in his rookie year and had 250 carriers. Yet, he averaged less than 4 yards a carry and only had 2 carries over 20 yards. So....Moreno is a bust.

Uh-huh-
I expect a less biased opinion from you. What exactly was LT's YPC his rookie year? Did he endure an offensive line going through a scheme change?

Thank you to my grandfather jetrazor for being a veteran of the armed forces!

Don't call this bull on me BH. If you're gonna put Moreno down, the least you can do is try.
Get real. It's got nothing to do with being healthy lol.. that's just plain ignorant. Moreno has been behind an o-line that sucks and while he's no powerback, he's been doing alright given the circumstances and what he's been given to work with. Look at Buckhalter, his ypc was higher in Philly. Moroney had a better ypc when he was with the Pats.. guess that tells ya nothing.
Moreno is working his ass off in there on every damn play and was about the only Bronco player left in the 4th quarter that kept fighting for every yardage in the Raider game.
When you evaluate players and their performance, you take relevant factors into consideration, and you don't compare healthy players to those injured lol.. you thought some Bronco was gonna do that to Mathews didn't you? haha
Too early to crown him a bust.
Besides, consider Rivers has had to try time and time again to lead this team out of holes which is why we have been a pass heavy team, especially in the 2nd half of games. The Titans game was definitely a well balanced game with both run and pass. I think he'll be fine and we have yet to see him mature into a full fledged elite RB but right now its just too early to label him a bust. 2 things I've noticed is that he's got to better secure the ball and also needs to get a better feel for what's a hole and what's not, its all a matter of timing knowing when to burst and when to cut.

I wish he wasn't a bust (too early to tell) but for this years fantasy football he's killing me as he's for sure bust worthy...we'll see how he does in future seasons. but much like with knowshon it's too early to tell.
