  • Charger fan myths

Since this issue wasn't addressed I would like to discuss a certain little myth that Charger fans bring around the smack section. They say they
Have dominated the AFCW for 5 years and counting.
This is only because they don't know how to count.

I've heard this all over the place. This is either ignorance of their history or a blatant lie. Let's talk about a real QB winner. A real scrambler, a real hero of the Denver Broncos that was benched for a QB who isn't half of what the Snake was. That's right: I'm bringing up the controversial Jake the Snake.

Benching Jake the Snake was one of the biggest mistakes in Broncos history. He had a winning record which is something we haven't had since Rod Smith left Cutler in 2006 where Cutler missed the playoffs with a 9-7 record. Jake took us to an AFC Championship in 2005 Dolt fans, learn how to count!!! Ever since he was benched with a winning record of 7-4 our team has been struggling to find a winning QB. Benching him along with trading Hillis have been our 2 biggest mistakes we've made in recent years. Fortunately we found the more accurate version of the Snake in Tim Tebow with a more dedicated work ethic.

I've always maintained that if that Steeler didn't roll over on Carson Palmers ankle we woulda played Cinci in the AFCCG and won. If we won that AFCCG, Cutler would have never been drafted (hopefully some defense would have been), and we'd still have the snake with us today...That is water under the bridge though, it's not how it happened. We live with the cards that were dealt...and were looking a 2-7 offsuit

Why are Broncos fans so high on Jake Plummer??? Sure he can manage if you have a dominant defense but thats about it. Dude got traded then just quit on his new team.

Thats definitely the kinda guy i'd want leading my team!!!

I guess we have fan #2 who wishes Jake the Choke was still in Mile High.

You call Jake "the choke" yet he's done something Phillip Rivers has yet to do: Beat Tom Brady in the playoffs.

You like to bash the Chargers for being beaten by a lesser seed (Jets in 09'). How do you justify being beaten by the #6 seed at home when your the #2 seed then???

BTW the Patriots beat themselves that game.....420 yards vs 280 for Denver. NE lost cause they kept turning the football over. It wasnt anything special Plummer did. Unless Plummer caused one of the 5 Patriots turnovers???

Thats like saying the reason the Steelers won the Superbowl that year vs. the Seahawks was all cause of Big Ben.

Jake Plummer is great. Who is he playing for again?

                      /thread lol
SHOCKED by Donktown disdain toward TEBOW. He saved your 2011.

Jake Plummer: Highest winning percentage of any Broncos starting QB - ever.

One of only three Bronco QBs to win a playoff game.

Never had a losing record in Denver.

                        What a bum.

Think about it, Jake Plummer did lead the Donkeys to that 1 playoff W. in the last 12 seasons and what's even worse present times are horrendous and the future looks even worse.
Suddenly Jake looks pretty darn good.

Well what the hell are they looking at Elway for when they could get Plummer (their QB with the highest win % ever) to come in and be a VP or maybe even GM!!! Damm they Broncos cant do anything right this year can they???
