Good ol' Trollman, it's universally acknowledged that he had an impressive start and a lot of neutrals said as much. sorry if it didnt live up to your lofty standards and you had to scrape together some smack about it
Manning Fatigue (noun): The act of being sick as hell of watching a HOF qb take half of forever to decide what to do and just wishing he'd make up his mind.

Tebow to start Sunday. I'm drooling over the Week 17 possibilities.

I can tell you this, it will be the first time in a long time the Mile High faithful will be really excited for a game.

I really expect Tebow to play well this week and for the Broncos to put it on Houston

Week 17 with the Chargers, huh?

Yeah, with our defense, that doesn't sound like much fun

But, Gary Kubiak should be arriving shortly thereafter, so...

Boltman doesnt acutally have any of his own opinions or views. I am not even sure if he watches football. His points usually consist of posting something he googled and finally found a rare article that supports what he wants to hear and then acts like, see, this joke of a writer thought tebow sucked. Ha, gotcha denver fans!

Dont think so. Rivers team won his debut. Tebow's team lost his. Sorry but you are judged in this league more by Win's & Losses.

You think you would have learned this from your past debate's with Cutler.

LOL! What a joke, the Chargers beat the Raiders 27-0 in Rivers first start while the Broncos lost to the Raiders 23-39. Tebow accounted for 2 TD's while Rivers accounted for 1, and Tebow had ZERO turnovers and Rivers had 1 fumble.

Now let's look a little further at the stats again.

Rivers went 8-11 with 108 yards, 1 TD
Tebow went 8-16 with 138 yards 1 TD PLUS rushed 8 times for 78 yards and a TD.

So why did the Chargers win and the Broncos lose? Well lets look at some more stats:

The Chargers D held the Raiders to 128 TOTAL YARDS! while the Broncos gave up 502 total yards!

              What about the running game?

LT had a great game rusing 31 times for 131 yards and 1 TD, and Turner had another 37 yards and 1 TD

Our leading rusher was Tebow, outside of him it was pretty pathetic. Bell had 15 carries for 20 yards, Moreno ran 4 times for 5 yards before leaving with an injury, and Bucky had 6 carries for 3 yards.

Now please take a step back and look at the big picture and tell me Tebow did not have a more impressive first game than Rivers. Rivers had a D who could stop the Raiders, and a HOF Running Back while Tebow had the worst D in the league and a no name running back who can't catch.

Rivers did what was asked of him by Marty. That was to not lose the game. He had what 3 incompletions the whole game while Tebow completed about half his passes. Tebow played better then I thought he might but if you guys think he is going to last long by trying to run against bigger n stronger defensive players your crazy. It's only a matter of time before someone bigger n stronger then the kid in college that blew Tebow up comes along and lays the wood to him and you'll be playing your back up.

                  Boltman

Im a Bronco fan who doesnt worship at the alter of Timmy. The first thing I will say is Timmy is the QB of quite possibly the worst team in the NFL. That being said he did show some flashes of athletic ability. He has great passion for the game. To answer your question no he will not survive if he runs alot in the NFL. No QB does. The biggest problem i have with the guy is he doesnt get the ball out quickly. Its ok to have a quirky delivery as long as its quick ie: Phil Rivers. Timmy has a long way to go. He's such a fine person Ill be rootin for him
My friends over at Sports Radio Interviews sent me a link to an interview Pat Bowlen did with a Chicago-area radio station. While there is nothing earth-shattering here. Below is a segment of the transcript -

What are the Bears getting in Jay Cutler?

“They’re getting an extremely talented young quarterback.”

Some one Please name me the last successful NFL QB that had to be taught how to throw the ball correctly.

I bet I could find some moron on bleacher report or yahoo that claims Rivers is an overrated chump, but by posting it I would appear as moronic as the author. I am smart enough to not post that kind of drivel, sadly some are not.

If that start was lukewarm, what was Elway's first start in which he was benched?

I think it's ridiculous to judge a player one way or another after one game. I watched the entire game and there was some good and bad. The only thing we know about the kid for sure is that he's a class act.

Dude, your 1 in a million. As you can see a VAST majority of delusional Tebowmaniacs flood this board going so far as saying (and implying) Tebow is the next Elway and will be even better than Elway (and Rivers) because of his 0-1 start and how he ran and passed and his passer rating for his very first start. I realize how excited donk fans are (and have been) about Tebow in a donkey uniform considering how horrible things have been for Bronco fans. Tebow is their last and only hope of saving the franchise (so it seems), the Broncos last ditch effort, grasping at his jock strap for even just a sniff.

Here's the issue: Donkey fans have elevated and overrated so many draft picks and FA's the past 5 years that have turned into flops its hard to believe donk fans anymore. Since the face of the Broncos franchise retired Bronco fans have been all talk and no walk concerning the playoffs and now, as of late, the regular season. What I'm saying is quit the hype already and just wait and see. That does not mean don't be excited for something fresh and new, just don't be so delusional about it.

Lets face it, Tebow has a lot of critics who don't believe that he'll make it in the NFL as a QB for some very viable reasons. These are not just some shmuck opinions, these are opinions from draft experts and coaches, etc. who have studied lots of film on Tebow before the draft. We all know he's a good person, has passion, and likes to work hard and is very competitive (wants to win) but that is no reason to glaze over reality and think that those intangibles and character traits will guarantee his success in the NFL.
Is Tebow the ONLY NFL player that has ever been drafted with those types of intangibles and so his success is a LOCK?

Regardless of his intangibles, there are two irrefutable tangibles that will prevent Tebow from becoming a great QB in the NFL:

                            1) Running (guaranteed he will get hurt, just a matter of time)
                            2) Release (slow, cumbersome release resulting in sacks and interceptions)

Unless Tebow learns to become primarily a passer he won't last long in the NFL. Unless Tebow learns to release the ball faster and get his footwork down he'll become just another int machine and eventually get kicked to the curb as 2nd or 3rd string QB

The Broncos rookie showed leadership and playmaking skills. But he still looks like he's playing in college.

One game, and the hearts of Tim Tebow Nation went from a steady pitter-patter … straight to the full bore pounding of a Led Zeppelin drum solo. Yes, his first NFL start was encouraging, but the tidal wave of Twitter posts about Tebow “doing his thing,” well, they’re a little premature.

Tebow Nation doesn’t want to hear that since it owns the most fanatical form of zealotry I have ever seen with any player, to the point that even constructively criticizing Tebow in even the slightest way sets off a low-level earthquake. But at the risk of causing a natural disaster, this should be said:

If the Denver Broncos rookie quarterback’s game is built on playing the way he did against the Raiders, he won’t last.

While CBS announcer Gus Johnson was euphoric about Tebow’s dirty uniform – likening it to something you’d see on a left tackle – all I saw was a quarterback who took a lot of hits in his first start. His 40-yard touchdown run was electrifying. But Tebow also doesn’t appear to know how to slide, and that’s not a good thing. Even a quarterback as big as he is at 245 pounds can’t take an eight-carry beating every game, and still hold up for an entire season as a dual-role passer.

I could not have said this any better myself. One cannot even remotely criticize Tebow or else the donk nation blows up and starts crying. It is true about the fanatical zealotry that so many donk fans display but this is nothing new. The donk drafts and FA's that have put on a donkey uniform and pads since 2006 have nearly all been hyped up by the donkey nation but this is taking it to a whole new level in the euphoria surrounding Tebow.

I recall all the donk zealots pumping up Cutler as the next Elway then they kicked him to the curb. Now we have Tebow, who will not last in the NFL if he is going to play like he did yesterday. You donkeys better start looking around for a real QB if you expect to compete in the AFC and get to the playoffs someday .
he'll learn to slide in time. it took mark sanchez a while to learn too. you can't just expect a rookie to do everything right on his first NFL start

LMAO, this guy hardly every slid in college and he won't be sliding any time soon. This is why his career will probably be over in the NFL if he continues on this same path. He is NOT a drop back passer, plain and simple. It will take him years to learn how to drop back and fire the ball quickly, something he NEVER did in college. He's a scrambler, like Vick, less the quickness, footwork, and speed of release. The Broncos coaching staff, if Tebow is going to be their starter, need to develop a special "run first, pass second" system like the system he was in all throughout college. These types of "system packages" specially designed for Tebow will be the ONLY way he can succeed in the NFL, that is if the Broncos want to completely change their offense to adapt to Tebow and not the other way around.
