I bet I could find some moron on bleacher report or yahoo that claims Rivers is an overrated chump, but by posting it I would appear as moronic as the author. I am smart enough to not post that kind of drivel, sadly some are not. -
Boltman
Im a Bronco fan who doesnt worship at the alter of Timmy. The first thing I will say is Timmy is the QB of quite possibly the worst team in the NFL. That being said he did show some flashes of athletic ability. He has great passion for the game. To answer your question no he will not survive if he runs alot in the NFL. No QB does. The biggest problem i have with the guy is he doesnt get the ball out quickly. Its ok to have a quirky delivery as long as its quick ie: Phil Rivers. Timmy has a long way to go. He's such a fine person Ill be rootin for himLeave a comment:

LOL! What a joke, the Chargers beat the Raiders 27-0 in Rivers first start while the Broncos lost to the Raiders 23-39. Tebow accounted for 2 TD's while Rivers accounted for 1, and Tebow had ZERO turnovers and Rivers had 1 fumble.
Now let's look a little further at the stats again.
Rivers went 8-11 with 108 yards, 1 TD
Tebow went 8-16 with 138 yards 1 TD PLUS rushed 8 times for 78 yards and a TD.
So why did the Chargers win and the Broncos lose? Well lets look at some more stats:
The Chargers D held the Raiders to 128 TOTAL YARDS! while the Broncos gave up 502 total yards!
What about the running game?
LT had a great game rusing 31 times for 131 yards and 1 TD, and Turner had another 37 yards and 1 TD
Our leading rusher was Tebow, outside of him it was pretty pathetic. Bell had 15 carries for 20 yards, Moreno ran 4 times for 5 yards before leaving with an injury, and Bucky had 6 carries for 3 yards.
Now please take a step back and look at the big picture and tell me Tebow did not have a more impressive first game than Rivers. Rivers had a D who could stop the Raiders, and a HOF Running Back while Tebow had the worst D in the league and a no name running back who can't catch.Leave a comment:

Boltman doesnt acutally have any of his own opinions or views. I am not even sure if he watches football. His points usually consist of posting something he googled and finally found a rare article that supports what he wants to hear and then acts like, see, this joke of a writer thought tebow sucked. Ha, gotcha denver fans!Leave a comment:

I can tell you this, it will be the first time in a long time the Mile High faithful will be really excited for a game.
I really expect Tebow to play well this week and for the Broncos to put it on Houston
Week 17 with the Chargers, huh?
Yeah, with our defense, that doesn't sound like much fun
But, Gary Kubiak should be arriving shortly thereafter, so...Leave a comment:

Good ol' Trollman, it's universally acknowledged that he had an impressive start and a lot of neutrals said as much. sorry if it didnt live up to your lofty standards and you had to scrape together some smack about it👍 1Leave a comment:

Last time I check 68% of the voters on the ESPN poll were impressed with Tebow. The majority of ESPN analysts were impressed with Tebow. He played on a down troten team in the rain in a stadium that wanted his head and did well (better then most qb's have don in their first game).
Also most Bronco fans kept saying Cutler showed promise and might be good someday. Alot of us thought he shouldnt have started the year he did.Leave a comment:

Why do they pick on Tebow?
Easy answer. They know deep down inside, he really is the QB of the future for us.
Maybe he won't be Elway, but he very well could go down as our 2nd best QB ever.
They are going to learn to hate those QB runs of his.
They should stick to picking on other aspects of our team that really do suck.Leave a comment:

I realize there are some other threads about Tebow but this one is about this game yesterday vs the Raiders. Unfortunately for the Broncos the Raiders spoiled his "coming out" party.
The Broncos rookie showed leadership and playmaking skills. But he still looks like he's playing in college.
One game, and the hearts of Tim Tebow Nation went from a steady pitter-patter … straight to the full bore pounding of a Led Zeppelin drum solo. Yes, his first NFL start was encouraging, but the tidal wave of Twitter posts about Tebow “doing his thing,” well, they’re a little premature.
Tebow Nation doesn’t want to hear that since it owns the most fanatical form of zealotry I have ever seen with any player, to the point that even constructively criticizing Tebow in even the slightest way sets off a low-level earthquake. But at the risk of causing a natural disaster, this should be said:
If the Denver Broncos rookie quarterback’s game is built on playing the way he did against the Raiders, he won’t last.
While CBS announcer Gus Johnson was euphoric about Tebow’s dirty uniform – likening it to something you’d see on a left tackle – all I saw was a quarterback who took a lot of hits in his first start. His 40-yard touchdown run was electrifying. But Tebow also doesn’t appear to know how to slide, and that’s not a good thing. Even a quarterback as big as he is at 245 pounds can’t take an eight-carry beating every game, and still hold up for an entire season as a dual-role passer.
I could not have said this any better myself. One cannot even remotely criticize Tebow or else the donk nation blows up and starts crying. It is true about the fanatical zealotry that so many donk fans display but this is nothing new. The donk drafts and FA's that have put on a donkey uniform and pads since 2006 have nearly all been hyped up by the donkey nation but this is taking it to a whole new level in the euphoria surrounding Tebow.
I recall all the donk zealots pumping up Cutler as the next Elway then they kicked him to the curb. Now we have Tebow, who will not last in the NFL if he is going to play like he did yesterday. You donkeys better start looking around for a real QB if you expect to compete in the AFC and get to the playoffs someday .
You sold yourself out with the hope Tebow would implode...but he didn't.
Tebow's debut by first time rookie start standards was excellent, period.
No qualification needed, no blowhard, so-called NFL 'experts' scrambling like roaches under the fridge in trying to explain away what we all saw yesterday.
He elevated his teams play. He wasn't the slightest bit intimidated or overwhelmed. He absolutely looked like he belonged, and he made all the throws. The TD pass was a thing of beauty, as was the throw Ball dropped, which was another strike and should have been his second TD pass. He made two other nice throws on third down, and he turned a broken play into a 40 yd TD run.
You should really just shut up about now, Boltbrain, it's pretty lame.
Tebow may in fact have bad games in him down the road, but yesterday wasn't one of them.
Strike one, anti-TebowsLeave a comment:
