If Tebow continues to run the ball like that it doesn't automatically mean he will get hurt ya never know it's the luck of the draw. However, I don't like the playcalling with all the QB draws that's not the way to use him. Tebow gives us hope we haven't had in awhile, of course we want him to be successful but we don't know anymore than you, Boltman. If we go off of accomplishments and facts, there is absolutely no evidence to tell me that he won't be successful or that he'll be a bust. You can try to spin it any way you want but the truth is he did more in college than the so called NFL standard QBs could do. If they couldn't sniff his jock strap in college what makes people think that they will greatly overcome him in the NFL? (wishful thinking)

The Broncos defense handed the ball twice to Tebow DEEP in Raider territory and Tebow capitalized on that with a 40 yd TD run and a very lucky jump ball that should have been intercepted (and would have been 99.9% of the time) the way that play went down.

Further study of the game book reveals Tebow failed the rest of the way to move the chains on 3rd downs when he was called on. I said in my post above on 9 separate occasions. You are blaming your defense but come on, Tebow not once sustained a single long drive from the Broncos side of the field to give your defense a rest. You cannot blame the defense when they were out there constantly on account of Tebow NOT converting all those third downs when the ball was in his hands.
Thanks for making my point about Tebow making plays where he could and capitalizing on what was given to him by the opposing Defense and truncated playbook. This was his first start with one week’s practice on the first team Offense. I never expected a Pro Bowl showing, did you? Like I said before, he made mistakes but showed he can make the throws (including the dropped TD pass to Ball in the endzone) and generate yards with his feet.

When the plays being sent in are running plays and you have no RB who can gain positive yardage, it’s pretty tough to move the chains on third and long. Sure they let Tebow throw the ball more towards the end of the game but by then it was too late. By the way, the Raiders had a third-down efficiency of 2-11 which is apparently how you base Offensive performance, so you can dispense with your “study of the game book” b.s.

Now, let’s reflect on our generous Defense that granted Tebow all of his pity points as you say.

      Raiders-
      First Downs 20
      Third Down Efficiency 2-11
      Fourth Down Efficiency 1-1
      Total Net Yards 502
      Total Plays 67
      Average Gain Per Play 7.5
      Net Yards Rushing 264
      Rushes 41
      Average Per Rush 6.4
      Net Yards Passing 238
      Completions-Attempts 15-26
      Yards Per Pass Play 9.2
      Times Sacked 0
      Punts 4
      Time of Possession 33:57

This is truly inspirational Defensive football. I highlighted some of my favorites for you because I know how you love “studying the game”. I totally blame the Defense for this loss and anyone with half a football IQ would do the same.

Yes, that is correct, getting hurt is not automatic but it is inevitable for any running QB that suddenly takes off like a RB regardless of their size, determination, or will to win. I guess if your looking for a quick fix short term QB who can run better than he can pass, and an offensive system is specifically designed to suit that style, then yes, go for it. However, it will be very easy for even the worst DC to game plan to stop the run and force the guy to beat you in the air. This is what good QB's do, they beat your ass in the air even when the defense knows a pass is coming. Elway was know for this, Rivers is know for it, and so are many other great passers in the NFL. I think there are certain packages that Tebow would be great in but as a starter I think eventually Bronco fans will be disappointed.

I have to respectfully disagree with you. Starting Tebow this early is pure desperation by the Broncos franchise. You and I both know its way to early to start him. He has so much to learn about the NFL. Its really too bad the Broncos started him this early before all of his flaws could be fixed and worked on. I guess when you are extremely desperate and grasping at something, anything that may remotely represent something positive, you go to extreme measures even if the timing is way off. At the same time when you are what 3-11 and your QB is hurt what the hell, put his ass in there and see what happens. Of course this is not the BEST way to start him but it is what it is when you are desperate for wins. I'm sure that the entire Broncos staff with the euphoria surrounding Tebow and all the hype could wait no longer to start him. Its like a wet dream come true.

Concerning the word "hope" and the Broncos I would say every other QB that has passed through the post Elway revolving QB door has given the Broncos fans "false hope", a false sense of security. Now Tebow walks through the door and here we are again, Bronco fans going berzerk over him starting a Tim Tebow club and making his Jersey the #1 seller in the NFL before he even throws a single pass in the NFL, putting all their hope in a single player.
I thought the Cutler hype was bad but the Tebow hype, its ten times worse.

To the contrary there is lots of evidence that points to the fact that Tebows NFL success is questionable and we've already seen the evidence first hand. Do we really need to get into this again regarding his NFL QB Tangibles (or lack thereof)? What you and so many other eager Denver fans need to do is throw out the window once and for all his college stats and accomplishments (and I'm not talking about work ethic and desire to win) because none of those accomplishments or stats mean anything anymore concerning whether or not he will succeed or fail in the NFL. Do I need to bring up names of other successful college QB's with great stats and accomplishments who failed in the NFL? So what are you saying that because Tebow was a better rushing type QB in college statistically with Championships, etc, etc. that he's going to be better than Elite passing type QB's like Rivers, P. Manning, Big Ben, Brady, etc? If you are hanging your hopes on Tebows college accomplishments and feel they will translate over into his NFL career and he cannot be stopped as a "rushing type QB " with his college style rushing plays you are truly delusional. I'm not saying he won't get away some nice rushes here and there (as we saw against the Raiders) but it will be few and far between. After Tebow's first 2 rushes for 55 yds the Raiders 26th rank rushing defense stopped his ass dead in his tracks, its pretty simple when you make the adjustments:

        1) 40 yds
        2) 15 yds......O yeah, you think you can continue running on us? ....

        3) 1 yd
        4) 2 yds
        5) 5 yds
        6) 7 yds
        7) 5 yds
        8) 3 yds

Tebow's running game was slammed shut after the first 1qtr. I'm going to LMAO when he faces the Texans 9th ranked rushing defense and then week 17 the Chargers #2 ranked rushing defense. I'm thinking you donks are about to witness Tebow's college game he's trying to bring to the NFL blow up in his face. He'll be forced to try and beat both the Texans and the Chargers in the air as I see the Broncos defense in a massive hole and completely gassed at the end of the first half after Tebow continues to go 3 and out then the punting unit comes on.

Slammed shut? LOL Who are you trying to compare the guy to? Jim Brown?

Clearly Oakland knew he can run on them(as evident by his 55 yds on 2 previous carries) even so he managed to chop them up for 23 additional yds on 6 carries even with the entire stadium knowing he was going to run. That door being slammed shut still was cracked open enough to manage a 3.8YPC. Decent numbers for a RB let alone a QB who has the box stacked against him.
Give it up, you hoped he couldnt play this game but he can.....

Im with you but for different reasons

Interesting point since wins are everything and must prove how good a QB is then I guess we can say Matt Cassel is better then Rivers because he beat the Chargers in SD.

Then if thats the case Campbell is better the Cassel and River right now which makes Rivers the 2nd worst starting QB in the AFC West.

(honestly wins only prove how good you can come together as a team comeback wins which happen over time is how you can eventually rate a QB)

No Cassel didn't beat the Chargers in SD. He didn't even
Make it in the flight to SD. He managed a whole 68 yards passing in the game they won in KC. I doubt he would have changed the outcome of the game In SD.

You donkeys better start looking around for a real QB if you expect to compete in the AFC and get to the playoffs someday .
Hey, how did that Ryan "Messiah" Leaf thing work out for you guys? LT? A couple of flashes in the pan?

As far as Tebow goes, this from VP of Corporate Communications Jim Saccomano's blog entry-

A quick look at Tebow’s stats for one game, his first start, show this:

He had a 40-yard rushing touchdown and a 33-yard touchdown pass, making Tebow the first player since Michael Vick in 2002 to have a scoring run of 40 or longer and a scoring pass of 30 or longer in the same game. He is the first rookie to have accomplished this feat in pro football history.

He had a 100.5 passer rating at Oakland, the highest rating among the seven rookie quarterbacks who have made their starting debuts in 2010.

Tebow became the 15th rookie quarterback in NFL history to have a passer rating of 100 or more in his first pro start.

Among all Bronco rookie quarterbacks making their first start, all-time over the past 51 years, Tebow’s 100.5 rating is the best ever.

He rushed for 78 yards, more than John Elway ever gained on the ground in any game he ever played as a pro and second all-time among Bronco quarterbacks to the 120 by Norris Weese at Chicago on December 12, 1976.

In the 51 year-history of the Broncos, 42 quarterbacks have started for the team. Tebow’s 100.5 passer rating is seventh-best in his first game among all 42, including veterans, but ranks first among the 12 Broncos rookie quarterbacks in their first pro start.

Sorry mixed up the games, but according to 98% of the SD fans wins mean everything now and that by losing Tebow proved he wasnt a better QB then Campbell, which by transitive property means Cassel isnt better then Campbell or Cassel
