Pretty much like it does to be a Charger fan. It's just one season, i have confidence we will be back on top.

Rebuild the defense, and Tebow pans out, all is good.

every year? hardly. we have been competitive for the last 6 years. being at least competitive is light years better than having no hope and not being competitive.

First part, true.

Second part, to be fair, we've been in a lot of games this season. Dumervil is a major loss, we have no one to replace his production and it's quite obvious. Not saying he's the main reason our defense sucks, but having him back will make it worlds better.

Jags game- Down 24-17, Orton throws an INT to lose the game.

Colts game= FIVE trips into the redzone, no TD's.

Jets game- Lost 24-20, Orton can't even fall onto the ball. Had two miscues in Jets territory that didn't help.

Niners game- Same thing, down 8, Orton throws an INT to lose the game.

Rams game- Down 3, need about 25-30 yds for a FG. Orton gets sacked as usual in late game situations.

Chiefs game- Defense played pretty good, got some turnovers, big stops. Orton was horrendous, no doubt in my mind we win if Tebow starts with Knowshon running that well.

The ball hasn't bounced our way this year. Just one of those years. Everyone goes through it at times, we'll be back. Just need to re-work this defense and hit in the draft.

Well, considering the amount of trash talk you Charger fans talk, you guys deserve it.

Awful team, maybe. Chiefs go from 4 win team team to playoff team in one year. Saints go from 8-8 to SB champs. Falcons go from one of the laughing stocks of the NFL to possible SB team. I don't think this team is as far off as you and many others think.

This season sucked, but it's not even close to the ONE win season the Chargers had twice this decade if i'm not mistaken.

It's quite obvious what we need to do to get back. Even our GM said we'll work on the defense this offseason.

In fact, i think it's easier for a bad team like us, the 2007 falcons or last years chiefs to improve than it is for underacheiving paper tigers such as Dallas or yourselves. It's pretty obvious what we need to get done. SD and Dallas, not so much.

first of all you do realize that the chargers haven't been in the NFL anywhere near 60 seasons, right? if you are going back that far and including the AFL years i don't think it will support the smack you are trying to talk.

second, if we were to go back that far the chargers clearly have been competitive in more than just the last 6 years lol

the chargers have 15 division titles (broncos only have 10) and 17 playoff appearances, which is the same amount as the broncos.

the chargers have sucked at times for sure but they have also been competitive.....they just never do anything with it when they do get to the playoffs.

The Chargers were founded in 1960, so they've only been a franchise for 51 years.

Chargers: 6 "good" seasons.

Broncos: 6 Super Bowls.

it took the chiefs how many years? it didn't just happen over night. they got the players and the coaches needed to be successful and it wasn't just in one off season.

the broncos could put together a great coaching staff and make some great moves in the off season and in the draft and be a contender next year.

but i don't see it happening, very unlikely. its rebuilding time.

as far as the chargers go, they will compete for the division and a playoff spot every year because they have the team in place to do so.

its not like the chargers are a bad team, their worst enemy is themselves. they are very capable of playing with anybody, they are unfortunately just as capable of falling on their faces as well.
