i dont think i mentioned those three games, did i? we have been through this, how many times now?

rivers was a prolific passer coming out of college, tebow was not. tebow had nowhere near the passing skills rivers had, yet you want to compare the two?

Rivers finished his career with 13,484 passing yards, 4th all-time among Division 1-A quarterbacks (he was 2nd at the end of his collegiate career). He also threw 95 touchdown passes, which ties him for eighth all-time.

all of that done from within a pro style offense, which is what i was referring to when i said he was more of a "prolific passer".

i never said he just ran and my argument against tebow becoming a great NFL QB isn't because he ran a lot either.

its because he wasn't in a prolific offense in college, but more importantly the fact that he wasn't a drop back, NFL style, pocket passer like rivers was.

rivers was far more of an NFL style "prolific" passer coming out of college than tebow was.

the only thing those QB's had in common coming out of college was an awkward throwing motion and intangibles.

i would compare tebow to vince young (physically at least) far before rivers.

if tebow starts this year, it will be because he earned the spot, not because the broncos "gave in" to their fan base.

also, explain to me how tebow has a higher ceiling than rivers. rivers has and always will be a better passer than tebow.
