Ideas of grandeur appear chiefly in demented states and are often of a particularly absurd nature, bearing the stamp of mental deterioration. The patients are immensely rich, all-powerful; they are popes, emperors, creators of the universe. Generally they naively make all sorts of outlandish claims and take on to themselves all sorts of pompous titles without being at all concerned by the flagrant contradiction existing between their actual state and their ostensible almightiness.
Why is it that Bronco fans who's garbage team just went 4-12 appear to remain pompous and all powerful without being at all concerned with their flagrant contradiction which exists between their actual loser state of 4-12 and their ostensible almightiness as if the hiring of John Elway and John Fox equates to a playoff run and Super Bowl appearance?Comment

Not that I like the guy but Matt Cassel was drafted 230th overall and went to a pro bowl last year. Thats almost like calling Jake Delhomme a bust (he was never even drafted), the guy was a steal considering he was a throw away pick and the Pats got a the 34th overall out of trading him and Vrabel.
Nate Jones was the 205th overall pick and when he was on the dolphins he was labeled the best nickel back in the league. In the end his talent was hidden by the pass rush that fins generate and stunk on a team that couldnt get past the line of scrimmage.
Several SD fans on here made a sig bet with me that Matthews would play in all 16 games and I honestly didnt write them down or bother memorizing it since I didnt intend to collect. However, that does not mean that he is a bust just very injury prone. Despite the fact he was consistently injured in college one bad NFL season should not define his career. Moreno did not have his blocking and well got injured last year like almost every player we through in the backfield yet I dont think we can define his season yet. A RB rarely does well without good blocking and that tends to be what defines the career so only when a rb does not do as well as the players on his roster can we trully consider him a bust.Last edited by Joshecalpoly; 03-21-2011, 12:57 AM.Comment

no one beats leaf, russell shouldn't even be that close to leaf
russell actually won games vs rivals, and put up stellar stats compared to leaf's
russell's career stats =
4083 yards, 18 tds, 23 ints, with a 7-18 w/l record
leaf's career stats =
3666 yards, 14 tds, 36 ints, with a 4-17 w/l record
russell even had a higher qb rating and completion %
hands down, biggest bust ever is ryan leaf....there's really no arguementsigpicComment

leaf had a game at kc where he went 1 of 15 for 4 yards , and 2 ints (aka he completed more passes in a game to the defense than to his own guys)sigpicComment
