Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

We haven't traded places with the Raiders. We have simply decided to borrow the basement for two seasons while we re-tool.
Whose basement are we borrowing?
The sandee eggo sparklers of course. They made it their permanent residence for the better part of 10+ seasons. The Raiders borrowed it for a while, too. But at the end of the day it BELONGS to the SPARKLERS.
By the way, I wouldn't smack on the Raiders. They swept the most talented team in football, loaded at every position, HOF TE, world class WR, world class and ELITE QB in Philip Rivers. ROFLMAO!
Good job riding all of that to the playoffs again. Oh wait....
I bet you got everything in order and re-arranged the basement after the Raiders had their fingerprints on it for so long. How does it smell down there? Get used to it, your gonna be there for a LONG LONG time.
Thankfully it was NOT the Broncos that swept the Chargers last year, in fact, we swept the Broncos and played a major role in sending your garbage team to the basement.
PS. Sold any Hummer's lately? With these gas prices I bet your commissions are way down and your hurting.
Must suck to realize youve traded places with the Raiturds huh???

I guess Elways wife (I was reading that article someone posted before elways rings) had said that if they don't win the super bowl, that she wishes that they lose in the playoffs.... it's obvious that she's not a competitor
I wonder what Elway would have said to that...
also this paragraph intrigued me:
Once, in New York against the Jets in 1986, Elway dropped deep into his own end zone to pass. As usual, nobody was open. He stepped up toward the goal line, tapping, tapping, tapping the ball, the fall of Saigon swirling around him. Still nobody open. Suddenly, from behind, defensive end Mark Gastineau came flying at Elway's helmet. Without seeing him, Elway ducked, a la Marshal Dillon during a fight in the Long Branch Saloon. Gastineau got Elway's sleeve as he hurtled by, pulling Elway nearly but not completely over. Elway straightened up and looked some more. Nobody open. He broke forward as though to run, an old trick he had pulled a hundred times: Draw the safeties up and then stop a foot short of the line of scrimmage and fire a deep one over their heads and straight through their hearts. But this time the safeties didn't buy it. Something came at him from the left. He danced right. Something came from the right. He danced left. The tension was maddening. Then defensive end Barry Bennett arrived and rocked Elway from the left. Down went Elway, headed for a sack and a safety—except that as he was falling, he unloaded the football, submarined it in a tight spiral to running back Gerald Willhite at the 12. Lying spent on the cold turf, Bennett stared up at the sky, his hands on his helmet, looking like a man who had just had his pocket picked.
San Diego fans usually get to proclaim "At least we made the playoffs."
Not this year! Now they are forced to pull the we did better than you crap. No matter how much sandee eggo fans deny that their season isn't made by beating the Broncos, they are lying to you.
Sandee eggo fans have a Bronco complex. I guess they should after we made them the red headed step child of the division for years.
Discuss...

actually , i think the raiders deserved to win it , if we're going to be brutally honest
Nah man. Tom Cable was was ill prepared for non division games. This was the first year that I saw stark differences in coaching from one week to another. Too inconsistent.
