i think he would have been gone regardless, unless he took a very substantial pay cut.

he would have been gone last year too had it not been for the fact that we didn't have much veteran experience at the RB position.

now with tolbert establishing himself last year and mathews having a year under his belt, no way in hell do we keep sproles unless he takes a huge pay cut.

i am fine with letting the little guy go, he can make more money somewhere else and we can pick up a kick off specialist in the draft that we can possibly mold into a scat back.

This rule change may actually help the Chargers....Now anyone looking to sign him would have to weigh his production as a RB more then a returner. I still believe he may be gone but this rule change may help the Chargers more then hurt them.

Poor Steve Crosby. But keep in mind that kickoff was not the only problem. San Diego had 5 punts blocked. That's something the new rule won't fix.
