Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.

Trade up for Matthews (already conditioning problems)
Seems almost every time SD targets a guy he is a bust...hell even a broken watch is right twice a day.
You start up a conversation about issues the Chargers have drafting and bring up these guys?
Butler got hurt last year in TC as a rookie so that qualifies him as a bust?
Hester has started at FB for years, I wouldn't qualify him as a bust.
As for Mathews, I may never have liked the pick but he starts and put up some pretty good #'s last year (Fumbles included).
We traded up for Weddle as well, and that has worked out pretty well for us.
If you're going to bring up this point at least walk into it with REAL ammunition.
For instance our 1st round picks have been shady for YEARS, going all the way back to Cromartie. Or how about the terrifying statistic that our rookies see among the least playing time compared to every other team. Or how about cutting 1-2 of our actual draft picks during and after TC on a regular basis?

Obviously there is way to much ammo to unload at one time, it would be like China attacking Taiwan.

hmm mathews looked decent last year aside from the fumbling and health issues
i definitely wouldn't call him a bust
as for hester, he's definitely not lived up to his draft status but he's a contributor as a fb/st player (he blocked at least one punt and returned it for a td)
as for butler....he was IR'd a season, he hasn't even begun his nfl career yet lol

Ugh, they have allways sucked in the draft, ie Leaf.
Eli manning and brees suck too! well Eli kind of does but we used him for trade bait to get the real QB we wanted.
Denver has always been bad with drafting QB's, not even comparable to SD. the chargers have had better players and better coaches than Denver throughout history.
