Wonder if there is someone with a giant Oilers tattoo out there?
If you were any good at smack you'd say something like "too bad nobody can read that tatoo when your laying out on the beach on your back after getting knocked out of the playoffs and/or missing the playoffs :thumb:

Cities in Canada have been offering homes to teams off and on too. I'm not claiming it's a sure thing, but I do know they want to expand the league eventually.
then you would likely have a situation similar to the cardinals and rams. SD would more likely get an expansion team and the chargers would stay in LA.

but in my honest opinion, if SD loses the chargers, they are not getting another NFL team any time soon, probably never again.

i am not sure on the situation with Oakland and how they were able to do it but i am willing to bet they were not under lease at that time.

the chargers currently have a year by year lease at the murph, they can basically leave any time they want (at the end of the year) but if they move into a brand new stadium, you get bet your bottom dollar there will be a long term lease and the SD chargers will be the LA Chargers for a long time.

I don't think it's do or die for SD, I think it's a forgone conclusion. The stadium is barely in SD anyway. The stadium is being built in LA, they have the land, the permits, even a sponsor, Farmers field. Maybe the Chargers can pull a Raiders and move back when SD does what they want.
if the chargers win a super bowl, i can see a drastic change in the attitude of getting a stadium built in SD.

i just hope the chargers don't change their name and logo with the move, or i'll have to pick a new team (one that has more titles than the broncos lol)
i highly doubt they would do that unless spanos sold the team all together or they moved somewhere else besides LA.

i don't know what i would do if they changed the name entirely, it would suck. i don't think i could be a football fan anymore after that.

well i would still be a fan of the game, just not of any team. probably just play fantasy football and be more of a college football fan.

I don't want the Chargers in LA. Living in OC, I would much rather go to SD to take in a game than go to LA. Hell would rather fly to SF than drive into LA.

LA fans are on the same level as:

    Dallas fans
    New york fans
    Boston fans
    Pittsburgh fans

    They sound like screaming Banshees.
