They own every tie breaker, if they lose next week to Jax they still get the first pick so..........

They still own the tie breaker for the 1st pick. They just need to lose the next one and they'll lock it up

Luck is pretty over-hyped anyways. Every year there is a QB in the draft that the talking heads hype to no end. Every year there is a huge bust. The guy can play no doubt, but there are so many variables that go into a player reach his potential.

If he goes to the Colts and Peyton can go, then he is in a good position where he can sit and learn a complicated Colts offense. If he is thrown to the wolves on a truly bad team, it could destroy his confidence, which for some players never comes back.

Bradford, Newton, Stafford , Ryan. 4 QBs in the last 4 years that were the consensus top prospect at the QB position. I concede there is no such thing as a "sure thing" in the NFL draft, but as far as the impact and production we've seen quarterbacks make in their rookie seasons then its safe to say we can expect something special from Luck, who is a far better prospect than any of the aforementioned QBs. Stafford's arm perhaps, but with smarts that aren't rivalled.

He could benefit from sitting, but if he got thrown in first thing I'd be surprised if he floundered. The guy is gonna be good.
