Ben's TD vs. SEA.. questionable? Sure. Obvious one way or the other? No way.

+1
Fairweather = half of my neighborhood in Littleton that wrote their dear Donkeys off early in the season only to jump back on the bandwagon when they started winning with Tebow.

Wait, we're really going for a NFL conspiracy thread here?
The most annoying thing in the world are NBA conspiracy theorists. When a big market team like the Lakers win, it's because the game was fixed, but when the Mavs beat my Heat, it's because "the Mavs were already hosed in the 06 playoffs" (seriously, someone sid that to me).
anyway, this thread is ridiculous. The Steelers won their SBs, by, OMG, BEING BETTER than the other teams (though, not by much). Next you're gonna tell me the only reason the Bruins beat the Canucks was because the game was fixed.Eating greedy

I bring this up because every Stealers fan I have ever known is always yapping about the SB wins. You bring this up and they get all upset and dont want to talk about it. Are Stealers fans proud of this history, do they ignore it, believe it is not true? Make no mistake, this is common topic around playoff time amongst fans, albeit not Stealers fans. Discuss.
so you think the seahawks should have been allowed to cheat ??
those calls were all blatant penalties. seahawks are sore losers . they should have blamed their players for making stupid mistakes on the biggest stage.

I'm not going to sit here and deny that there weren't screwy calls, but seriously, have any of you guys been watching the NFL in the past decade or so? Have you not noticed that the refs kind of suck in general?
I think it was poorly officiated, but I don't think that's the reason Seattle lost. They did a lot of things wrong, and not every single call was bad.
How do I usually handle a topic like this? I usually just let it go any more. I don't know what specific response you're looking for, but this is a topic that has been beat to death on multiple forums since 2005. The whole conversation is kind of redundant and irrelevant by now. And no matter what I or anyone else says in opposition to your opinion, it's not going to change your opinion on the matter...so why bother.

Three notable plays were clear and were called the WRONG way after two of them were reviewed and the last one should have been but wasn't.
1. James Harrison's INT TD; his arm was clearly on the ground before the ball crossed the goal line.
2. Santonio Holmes' GW TD; he only had one foot down in the endzone, yet after a lengthy review, they called it a TD, even though anyone with eyes could tell he only had one foot actually on the ground.
3. Arizona's final play (fumble); on the TV review, it showed that Warner's hand was going forward and it should've been an incomplete pass, but it was never reviewed (it was under 2 minutes left).
All that seems really screwy to me.
I won't get into the Steelers/Seahawks Super Bowl because that was the worst officiated NFL game I have ever witnessed.
