Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Lol @ Peyton Manning, Carson Palmer, and Philip Rivers,
People always rag on Palmer, but dude still put points on the board. Starting mid-season, learning a new PB on the fly and averaging 24 PPG isn't that bad. If only our D could hold up the end of it's bargain.
People also think the Broncos of all teams will go to the Super Bowl just because they signed a great QB. Shows how much they know. How many times has a QB won a Super Bowl in his first year with a new team? When has a QB ever won the Super Bowl with two different teams? Never.
Even if he is healthy (which remains to be seen) things will take time to mesh. Chemistry will need to be developed, etc. People just don't understand these simple facts. It takes time to build a champ. The Broncos are trying to do it RIGHT NOW (as stated by Elway at the PC) and they might, but it's unlikely.
And you guys better hope McFadden is injured all year again. He was putting up MVP numbers prior to his injury. If he stays healthy and Palmer is tossing the rock to our WRs (some of the fastest and youngest guys in the NFL) things are going to suck for our AFC West pals.
Last year prior to the Palmer trade we were winning games with a QB who was a game manager, low risk low reward type. Jason Campbell is anything but a gunslinger, and if you get behind in the game it's nearly impossible for him to lead you to victory. That was all because of McFadden.
Anyway enjoy your excitement with the new signing before it all becomes a little more realistic and things just aren't quite what you had expected. :thumb:

Did you watch Palmer last year? I feel bad for raiders too. Not that Palmer is Cassel status but for the bounty they gave up he is.
I hate to say it but Palmer got way better towards the end of the season, after a whole off season with those receivers our terrible CBs could be watching the score board points constantly rolling up for the raiders ...
Rivers line and receiving corps needs to improve before I respect him, his RB stable is better with an elite FB who wants to be a RB if they use him right. Carson will be slightly better after throwing his tantrum and then getting traded mid season after being off as long as he was, but hes had maybe 1 or 2 good years. With a new head coach and all that mentally unstable yet physically gifted players they have, they can go either way. If the chiefs stay healthy and stick to doing what they do best they can be a threat. The Broncos need to fix a few holes before they start claiming victory. The way we ran in our offense and stopped the run in our D was what made us great but neither will be at the same level this year, so Bronco fans we maybe looking at the middle road. Raiders Broncos Chiefs Chargers
