are you reading the thread at all? he challenged me. it would be a stupid bet if tebow became the starter and i was to bet that a positional player would score more TD's than a QB throws and runs for TD's.

well if he did that would be a stupid bet either way. he specifically said any player besides rivers, so i assumed he didn't mean TD passes.

if he was to include TD passes i would have to insist rivers be my guy lol

remember, the entire point of his challange was to prove me wrong that tebow is not a good football player, that he can be good in other areas of the game.

he made the argument that tebow had more TD's scored (not passes) than mathews did.

so if he did mean to include TD passes, just what would that prove? tebow could be the statistically worst QB in the leauge and still have more TD's scrored and passes comboined than most players in the leauge lol

Tebow can't/won't sit on the bench for the duration of the 5 year Manning contract. He needed to go somewhere he had a chance to get on the field, ultimately. He chose NY so we're stuck with butthurt fans in Florida with empty nester syndrome.

Not necessarily we could have used him as a gimic like McD did, and like the Jets will until Sanchez screws up.

Truth is we had an amazing run game because of him forcing teams to play inside push outside contain created openings for our RBs. Still he needs to learn to throw it short and even if we didnt have high quality TE's its not excuse for his lack of ability to use them. He has one trick deep throw deep throw deep throw, when it comes to passing, it wasnt hard to figure out and for most QB's thats a low percentage throw. You cant survive in the NFL going deep 90% of the time.

I said total touchdowns. If you want, we can call the bet off if Tebow becomes the starter, but his passing TDs would count if he's not. As of now, he's not the starter, and they don't plan on making him one. He's going to be a situational player, involved in about 20 plays a game.

Point is, he is a good football player, he can contribute in a huge way to a team, even if he's not the starting QB, and you're wrong

You heard it here folks. Just because you score 10 TDs, and you're not a starting QB, that doesn't mean you're a good player

You were flapping your lips saying he wasn't any good at football. I wanted to show you how stupid that is. Any player, that's not the starting QB during the season, that would score 10 plus TDs in that season, is a good football player. Please give me an instance of a bad football player doing that, and you may have an argument lol

Bottom line is, if he isn't a good football player, what the eff would they be doing putting the ball in his hands in the red-zone?
