Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

John Elway buys controlling interest in the San Diego Chargers.
In a move supported by the NFL league front office, John Elway has bought a majority interest in the San Diego Chargers. He has also been given complete contol of Broncos operations.
For the league to give John permission to own/control two teams, he has been told that he has to downsize the two teams. In essence, the two teams are being combined into a super team with no name as of yet. (Name contest forthcoming.) Half of the players and coaches on both existing squads will have to be let go. The salary cap for the combined team will be increased to be equivalent of two teams, so the team can retain the best players. The superteam will have double the normal drafts picks from now on.
And the team will split home games amoung the cities of Denver and San Diego.
The move is expected to save the NFL money (more money for those at the top.) but drive marginal talent out of the NFL. Also the fans of both the Broncos and Chargers and going to learn how to get along.
