Biggest Bust?

We all know Ryan Leaf is the biggest bust, lets not fool ourselves LOL, I'll take Jamarcus any day of the week as my starter, but Leaf this dude wouldn't be allowed to even cheer for the team LOL a total cancer to the entire NFL.

The reason why Leaf is the biggest bust of all time and at #1 probably as long as NFL exist, it is because he got another shot with the Cowboys, Jamarcus never got second chance. and I swear he could have been better if he was given a second chance.

i agree with you but not the reasoning. i could argue that the fact he didn't get another chance supports him being a bigger bust than leaf.

think about it, he was the #1 overall draft pick and projected by some as one of the best talents to come out of college since peyton manning, yet no other team gave him a chance after he got cut by the raiders?

i think they both had the same kind of potential but at least JR won some games, plus he did this.......

He wasn't really a bust, the guy just choose drugs instead of a chance to be one of the greats.

I dont agree one of the reasons players like Russell and Leaf busted can arguably be lined because to the fact they chose to do drugs. The reason Todd "THE TEST TUBE ATHLETE" Marinovich wasnt as big of a bust was because he left college early after getting into a fight with his coach on National Television and then being caught with cocaine not to long after.

23 teams passed on him, only the Raiders wanted to take a risk on a kid with tantrum and drug problems, because he was athletic.

I mean is it true that JeMarcus is coming back as a D-Tackle? Hey he might be able to pull it off, he's big enough!

Maybe when Leaf gets out he can beef up and become a MLB, he seems to have the right mindset for it.

JaMarcus Russell Comeback 2013: Former NFL Quarterback Airs It Out



JaMarcus Russell has surrounded himself with an excellent group of people to serve as his support system during his attempt at an NFL comeback.

One of the guys charged with breaking Russell down and building him back up is former NFL quarterback Jeff Garcia, who is serving as the former LSU star's de facto quarterbacks coach.

In the video above, Garcia walks us through some of the things he is looking to improve in regard to Russell's mechanics. He also highlights some of the natural ability that will undoubtedly cause NFL teams to take a second look when Russell holds his own personal pro day in a month or so.
