I can agree with this. All the teams the Ravens played it seemed like the NFL was helping them succeed. They shouldn't have beat Denver, it's debatable with New England, and they shouldn't have beat San Francisco. But seemingly the officials made it their goal to help the Ravens. San Fran fought to the end and played to win, Denver put up somewhat of a fight and played to not lose.

I think it would have been GREAT if he would have done that! The thing is, he told TEAMMATES to do it, so if they would , and they lost the game, he could have DENIED all involvment!

I prefer it to be done after the game, and bragging about yourself not knocking on other guys. I often hear remarks like "they soft,they garbage", and they stay the same regardless of how good those players are, or how they are playing. As a player I've seen it myself. Tackles that did not allow a player to fall forward for any yards were called "weak tackles", well a weak tackle shut you down buddy..and "garbage" ran through you. I always wanted to do well against good players, not scrubs so I don't see why they get so much joy in that. IMO, its stupid. If a player were to talk trash at me, I'd just completely ignore it. Bragging after you do something is great, but before..just let your play do the talking

Agreed. I like trash talking when it's backed up. Trash talking is apart of sports, if you don't like it don't play the game.
No player is innocent from trash talking as it comes in different levels. Players like Williams do a form of trash talking nobody respects. His trash talk isn't trash talk it's *another word for crap* talk. Talking crap and talking trash in sports is different. Talking crap is fighting words.

Oh I will be the FIRST one to admit Shannon had one of the BIGGEST mouths in NFL history! I witnessed it in Kansas City in 98 on a Monday night, he caused Dekkick Thomas and others to be ejectede, and almost started a RIOT on the sidelines at the end of the game with Chef fans behind their bench.

Romo was just a steroided out freak, who very seldom talked alot, but was actually a boderline dirty player.

Finnegan is actually a great guy off the field from everything I've heard. He just uses those on field antics to get into the head of the receiver and it works. Plus he's pretty good
